he's out injured

hopefully for rest of year...but likely just the 1 week.

hopefully his next game is a send off farewell game, we are that crap at the moment that we can afford luxuries like send off games

Although that can't be any indication of how the team will line up this week.

David Neitz is more likely to come out of retirement and kick 8.

Look at that half forward line! Worst half forward line ever listed!

LOL at St Kilda ins and outs. Dropping Armitage and Birss is very classy

I reckon this amusing. Here is a club that has gone past their opportunity window to win a premiership and they drop two promising players for a couple old blokes who wont be there for their next finals involvement.

Havent they heard of blooding for the future????

No wonder this club continually causes disilusionment for their fans.

I just looked at who you support, I would suggest that it is a tad unwise to throw stones.

Not throwing stones at all JTGM.

The Saints have had a pretty good list for several years which probably should have delivered a premiership in all reality. Unfortnately that time appears to have passed them by and because of some trades in recent years that didnt work out (Fergus Watts, Luke Penny and Barry Brookes) their list most likely wont take them much further.

Therefore I am questioning why they bring in players that wont give them any future rather blooding younger players for the future.

This isnt a bulldogs v saints thing ...... hey, we know what it is like not to have success and we also know what it is like to trade poorly. However, at least we are now seeing what blooding young players can do. Similar to Hawthorn, Geelong, Collingwood etc.

Yeah peanut, half a game outside the 8 and we should start planning for the future as opposed to winning games.

We might not be a realistic chance but I'd be pissed if we threw in the towel at this stage. Might be the go at your club to give up in Round 10, but hopefully the Saints have moved beyond that.

Would take Harvs over Birss any day of the week, and Armitage has done nothing to hold his spot. Look forward to hearing you bleating about Scott West's inclusion in the near future as well.

Perhaps you should do your own analysis instead of parroting other people's rubbish.

Great to see Dunn named, he has gone down a pretty rough road injury wise in the past.

He has a lot of potential, hopefully he puts it together.

Saints are still too unbalanced. Gardiner, King and Kosi is too much height. 3 ruckmen in essence. Would also prefer Charlier Gardiner as a lead up forward because i think the saints lack that considering Riewoldt is not at full pace.

Then you also have Blake who may be suited to Goodes, but is another slowish player with few skills.

Armitage is a silly omission against Sydney. He is a tough bodied in and under who wont mind the physical stuff. Swans have managed to introduce kids to their team and have become better for it.

You have to persist with Armitage. He is the most promising midfielder on the list. Should not be dropped in a game so suited to him. He should be given more of a run in the centre...especially against Sydney

Good to see Prissa stay in the side....Was decent last week and with his VFL games earlier in season he deserves a few weeks in a row at AFL level even if it will just be to bump his trade value up.

Just waiting on Tigers/Dees teams now.
