Think Simmo & Co got a bit arrogant with their selection of Brander as obviously he's not ready for AFL yet. Feel a bit for Brander though as it's like feeding the sheep to the wolves, particularly seeing the game was at the SCG.

They’ve been backing in the debutants all year. It wasn’t arrogance, it was consistency in selection strategy.

So one didn’t come off. Oh well. He’ll still be better for the experience and exposure to the level required.

Gov and Hurn as well both very good. Shep did a coupe.of good things early but didn' have one of his better games. Nelson was solid, couple of brain farts but not too bad overall. Jetta was reasonable.
