In the The Age it has photo of Lance taking a mark, without mouth guard !, Rance hitting arms. Leigh Matthew's saying if had 1st pick he would take Rance! Dunstall praises Grundy Richard's era. Other article talks of Lance being rock star Beiber when visits schools.
I love my defence and my defenders.
But even I know a player like Buddy kicking goals brings more people through the gate than any defender ever will.

I'll be on my bike heading to work at 5:30am my time just as the game is finishing up!
Pedal fast when we are 11 points up with 1 minute 30 seconds to go please.

Big game but next week is more important for us imo. I think the Tigers will finish top 4 regardless of the result tonight but next week is a true 8 point game. Geelong are one of the teams we need to put some distance between in the race for top 4.

Obviously it would be handy to win both games but I'm more nervous about next week for some reason. I'll just enjoy tonight and hope we steal the win. It's at our home ground at least.

We have to take the points here for two reasons:

1. If we dont knock the Tigers off at docklands then i cant see how we do it at the G.

2. We have a very tough run home so we have to get some big scalps to book a top 4 spot. No better time to start than tonight.

I will back us to win on the proviso that we keep it tight at qtr time.

We beat them just last season at the MCG.

I agree with this AG.
I think we are under no illusions that the Tigers are at their extreme peak form wise & personnel wise with Houli the only player that may make them a little better. We on the other hand, are still tinkering with our team due to injury or form, with Rose & Aliir in the team & trying to establish themselves in our team in a hot game.
No surprise should we lose this one, as I expect we will but more important for me is that we show signs that our style can trouble the Tigers for when we meet them again later in the year. Should we get the job done tonight then I have no doubt that we will improve on that going forward. It is obvious we are relying on our pace to not only defend some of their front running players, but when we win the ball back, we can catch them out & show them up for their lack being accountable to their direct opponents, such is the way they play with reliance on 'knowing' that Cotchin or Dusty 'will' win their contest allowing each of these other players to guess & run forward of the play.

If we get this right & apply a stack of pressure, our defense first then attack game style can embarrass the Tigers tonight & leave us with plenty to be confident about next time we meet in a more important game. The key tonight will be whether we have the experience to carry this out for 4 quarters.

Tigers by 22 points.
96 to 74.
If we manage to win, it will be because we keep the Tigers to under 72 points. It's the only way we will win tonight IMO.

Go Bloods.

Crucial match ups all over the ground.

Heeney v Prestia
Hewett v either Cotchin or Dusty
Mcveigh v ???
Grundy v JR
Buddy v Lourgainis

The list goes on and on. Macca could be crucial either way. If they get quick ball out through the centre he will potentially struggle defensively, BUT, if their use is poor coming into our defensive 50, he and Aliir could be super dangerous on the rebound, along with Jones. Good luck Rose, prove us all wrong and have a blinder.

I've got NFI who's going to win this, I just hope like hell we do.

I think Prestia in is a help to us. He’s been dreadful since being at tigers and he’s been out 8 weeks so bound to be rusty. He’s a butcher so hopefully he can turn the ball over in the middle of the ground a bit.
