Round 15 Trades: MBR3

a lot of people having the Kerridge/Wells keep one/trade one dilemma this week!

Initial lean was trade Kerridge and keep Wells as he is a slightly better scorer but I'm now thinking that having someone who is likely to play every game is probs more valuable as bench cover than someone who is unlikely.

Would appreciate people's thoughts!
In that scenario yep Kerridge wins out as a F7/M9

If you already have a gun forwardline and a decent M9 then you could probably get away with Wells at F6/7 though

When is Johannisen due back?

Could be a sneaky good option in the last month of the season for contingency purposes.

Hey guys, could I have some advice/help with the trades that I should make. I'm planning on making Kerridge my M9 by upgrading Dunkley, but I'm not sure how I should get the funds to make this move. Thoughts? After this weeks trades I'm planning on sitting on my team until finals View attachment 261297

Barlow > Montagna
Dunkley > Uber Premo
DBJ > Hipwood/broad/hammelman

Leaves you with 2 trades but a good team. Dont know if you can hold Barlow for 4 weeks with his injury

I will wait till after his bye to offload Barlow to either Riewoldt or Zorko. I wouldnt be fielding an extra player if I did it this week (already have 7 forwards) and there is a good chance Riewoldt drops in price.

Just need to decide what to do with Kerridge. One player to keep an eye out for is Gaff. 420k at the moment, i'm backing him to average 100 till the end of the season

Gaff is definitely an option as an M8/9

I was considering bringing him in for this week as an M9 early last week, then Wells didn't get up so that plan was ditched

Guys I'm looking at for a last upgrade are M Murphy, Gibson, Dahlhaus and Lycett once they bottom out when they return

That guy by the length of the Whitten Oval carpark.

I could actually make money by doing Libberatore to Gaff this week (Libba is currently M9). Could be seen as a waste of a trade but I do have 9 left and a fairly settled best 22 (minus Kerridge)

With that many trades left then you should look at trading in the best and shifting your 'worst' down to M9.

In terms of my backline I'm one downgrade/upgrade away from getting Docherty/Bartel and moving Biggs to D7. Will be able to do this after one more week of price rises from Collins and Ruggles.
My midfield is pretty much set, although Liberatore as M9 could be switched for cheaper Gaff.
The forward line lacks a strong bench cover option, and I still have Kerridge on the field. Plan is to upgrade Kerridge asap then wait for Robinson/Dalhaus to fall and pick one of them up making Franklin a possible F7

Who is your M8 ATM though? You should aim to turn Libba into the best available (using two trades if necessary). Libba to Gaff seems a waste of a trade, IMO. (Not knowing your team structure, but) Libba and Kerridge out for Phillips and Best Premo Available would be a great trade this week. Left over cash could contribute to next week's trades (or the week after, if you plan to upgrade one of Ruggles/Collins for Bartel).

Midfield is currently
Dangerfield, Treloar, Steven, Rockliff, Ablett, Merrett, Kennedy, Zaharakis (Libberatore, Trengove, Jansen)
Already have Phillips

I like having the DPP link, and Merrett averages 113. I'd just be shifting players around and needing to do another midfield upgrade which are the most expensive.
Keep the dpp link by moving Phillips to the midfield. Just move Merrett forward. Replace Libba and Jansen with a premo mid and a rookie. Team is improved.

ZMerrett? Can you shift him forward?

Also, who thinks who is the greatest chance of hitting 400k

Rose, Petracca or Conca?

If I get in Conca or Rose for Petracca then I can get in Dusty instead of Budwah which improve my onfield output by about 10 points, but I'm down 1 more trade in that scenario so taking a gamble on who makes the most cash would be the best bet in that scenario for 1 last upgrade

Rose has some seriously impressive tackle numbers currently, he seems to be very consistent in this regard, just wonder if he can keep it up to make enough coin

Could be an option, but it weakens my midfield bench. My goal is to have at least one solid option across all benches. Biggs as D7, Libba as M9, then one of Robinson/Dalhaus/Franklin as F7

Really tough to split them, but I'd guess petracca over Rose. Rose is fighting against guys like Papley, so could be one bad game away from being dropped. And I don't get this conca love, TBH.
