hi guys would love some opinion

before trades this week i have 5 left

i am thinking of 3 options

1) Heppell dpp to buddy
then greenwood to R3 for Darcy
which leaves me with 255k and 3 trades remaining. The following week am thinking of going perryman to jelwood

this leaves me with 2 trades left for final 6 rounds, but i have good cover in every single line for cover 1 week injuries and late withdrawals

2) Parsons to Deluca and then greenwood to buddy which leaves me with 10k bank and 3 trades
but then i miss out on darcy and have shaky cover in deluca for remaining of the year, but an extra trade

3) Just do what i was planning on doing, Cousins to Darcy (70k bank), play Parsons and cop his 50 avg score and hope greenwood is back next week and can not only retain his 80 avg, but increase it to 85ish, and keep him for few more weeks. This leaves me with 4 trades and good cover on every line, but might have to use 1-2 trade to upgrade greenwood

any thoughts which option might be best, or if you see any other trading options

thanks
I would hold if that were my side and only had 5 trades left. Mabe consider re-opening the mid/fwd link next week with Josh Thomas.

I have all five and haven't been disappointed.
After next week, I'll have four Lions.
Hrm
Decision might come down to
Hill +$16,000 or Buddy +$63,000

Form says that Hill is the way to go, but almost every year in Fantasy I have had Buddy in my side, and can see a bit more value there

Billings and Wingard are way to up and down for mine, and neither are guaranteed midfield minutes

So not even darcy as r3 cover for rest of yhe season ?
Is covering your rucks and $35k worth one of your 5 trades? The money made is negligible and you won't have the trades to take advantage of the coin Darcy will make so really its about whether you think the coverage is required.

I am in a similar position but having had Grundy play every game and only needing to make the one ruck trade Sandi->Martin, and having copped no ruck donuts, is making me lean more towards running the gauntlet with no cover (but holding a trade in reserve).

I completely agree with this. Trades are vital and worth so much at this time of year. Considering you will want probably 2 upgrades at the very least, definitely hold.

Cheers guys
Guess i have to decide if ruck coverage or trade is more valuable

Personally I reckon having good cover rookie priced could be gold down the tracks.

There's still 8 weeks left of the season, anything could happen between now and then.

swanton

I reckon if you're worried about your rucks then downgrading Ryan to a FWD/MID rookie via Witherden DPP and upgrading Parsons to Nank/Ryder for F6/R3 is the go say next week if you can afford it, perhaps Deluca funds this.

Greenwood becomes floating M9/F7 coverage here to swap around with Bolton/new rookie and Witherden becomes floating D7/M9 coverage to float around with Perryman.

Would mean you field Parsons this week though, but imo you're killing 2 birds with the one stone doing this.

O'Connor is your only real problem imo that limits defensive flexibility now, but Witherdens ceiling is miles ahead of Ryan's.

Still reasonably ranked at 24th but my focus is shifting towards Fantasy (that's a first), in top 200 but more importantly sitting well in my cash league so decided to go for broke in RDT.

Greenwood and Scooter to Deluca (trust he returns soon) and Treloar, next week probably Hodge to Zorko.
Will have very average cover mainly through Ainsworth/Witherden/Ryan but a crazily strong onfield team.

I have no issues in keeping him if his shoulder is good and he can continue to score like he did before his injury. I am worried he is either going to be a late withdrawal (which will most likely cost me the game this week) or come back slightly underwhelming like Rocky has. If he does that, then his value plummets and I most likely wont have the coin to upgrade him to Dusty later..
Understand your logic. I suppose it does depend to some degree as to how many trades you still have.

Fyfe or Scooter to Parker?

If he was a forward you'd live with it, not as a mid though, been well down on what he's capable of.
