5th. Sweet Moses who'd have thunk it.
Fully fit they'll blow us off the park...but you play who you play & everyone deals with it as they can. Our turn to be on the right side of the ledger.
It wasn't pretty, I'll take winning ugly any day of the week.

Hanners off form but goes all day. 8 tackles = pass
Reid, everyone has a game like that once in a while. Surely hurt.
Smith must be hanging on by skin of his teeth and rep
Love Papley. Possible Norm Smith winner.

We just wear teams down with amount of strong mids we can put through middle and fwd pressure. A real Horse victory that one.

Hopper
Griffin
Lids
Conigilo
Reid
Cameron

Not saying there outs didn't hurt them, but...

Hopper - was only best 22 when players started getting injured for them last year.
Griffin - looked near-cooked when he was last in the team.
Reid - not best 22.

Cameron, Lids and Coniglio are pretty big outs though. I do think we'd struggle against their best 22.

I never said we won because they were out ? I got asked who was out

I was overly critical to stary the game and i apoligise sincerely...

Budd, budd,budd.....you have no right to kick that goal.

Hanners, something isnt right with you, your still bringing it defensively but we are lacking your run and energy.

Reg was fantastic, with their clearance domination, patton should have kicked at least 6.

Mille becoming a turnover merchant, time to figure out how to get him out of defence.

Mcveigh...where do i start...i have been very critical...you are old, you are slow...but your the most intelligent footballer we have...tonights game alone earned you another year ( at a reduced rate of coarse)

Towers good again

Smith was shocking

Mills kicking is hopeless

I wouldn't say his kicking is hopeless, he's actually capable of hitting up targets under pressure quite frequently but he is prone to some absolute howlers a few times a game. Just a bit overconfident in his abilities I think.

Great effort from Naismith. Was a bit down last week. But I thought he actually beat Mummy today but for those goals he kicked.

And even so they smashed us in clearances.

Mummy is a massive key to unlocking GWS. He gets off the leash it's all over red rover. Too much class in their mids if he delivers silver service.

I suspect a lot of Mumford's stats came from monstering the likes of Parker and Towers half the time.

Thought that was our worst game since Carlton to be honest. Umpiring and GWS looking disjointed got us over the line really.

Both teams were ordinary but we just had a bit more luck. Buddy's class, Kennedy's last quarter and the defence probably our only highlights.

Would argue they had more luck with all their arsey snaps that went through.

I enjoy your posting mate but sheesh we beat them at their home ground who gives a **** who they had out other teams feasted on us during the start of the season swings and roundabouts.

It should of been a comfortable win but we gave them a few easy goals.
Just my view :p! Luck is a part of sport. A win is a win.

Pretty lousy game for two very good teams playing a big game. I guess the pressure had to detract from the spectacle a little.

Kinda hard to pick our best 5 for me outside of Franklin, Jack and Kennedy. Jack looking like the player we expected him to be at the start of the year across HF and in the middle. The other two just doing what we expect them to.

Naismith played solidly against Mumford and showed some deft touch but GWS' midfield torched ours as they tend to. Defence really stood tall. All of them outside of Smith played good games. Particularly Rampe who shut down Greene after quarter time and controlled the area. McVeigh another composed performance.

Good game from Towers again, I expected him to go back to his mean in big games, but he was clean and quick and whole hearted. Rohan had vital touches despite not doing a hell of a lot. Reid looked sore all night and for his sake I hope he was because he was awful.

I never said we won because they were out ? I got asked who was out

I was more so generally suggesting that GWS' outs aren't as critical as people have made them out to be. Not taking a shot at you or anything.
