Piss funny how they just make this up on the fly, for a week or two they'll be obsessed with enforcing white v dark and then it'll fall away. makes sense that Collingwood wore white but North in white shorts was redundant.

I am an advocate for teams wearing white shorts away though and keeping some of that history in line and I think it can be afforded, but I know it's unpopular on here.
 
I think Eric Hipwood is wearing last years home shorts for Brisbane?

Shade is relevant. Ie Carlton navy is basically black - very different to a royal blue.

Though Melbourne navy actually looks blue
It's irrelevant. The contrast is shit when you have a dark blue team playing a light blue team.

Surely there's nothing wrong with dragging out the Peril more often.

I agree that navy blue vs royal blue is not a big enough contrast. I don't have any problem with Sturt's light blue v Norwood or South Adelaide navy blue however.
