The poor old unloved suns can't be looking forward to this trip. Complacency is the only thing we have to fear. For that reason we should play every player we have who is on the cusp and rest any one who might need it - I'm looking at you JPK. And you Callum Sinclair. Luke, put your feet up for this one son. Buddy, how is that heel feeling?
Throw Rohan, Towers, Foote, Cameron and Dawson in and tell them to fight for their spot going forward.

Might rest one but it looks arrogant and is disrespectful to the opposition to rest that many when the season is well and truly alive and risks your spot. If you want to give a team motivation rest a bunch of players like they don't mean anythging. I doubt they would do it to Dew either and play our best available. I'm not trying to piss on your post as I understand where youare coming from but would rather they rest players in game ifthe job is well and truly done. Kennedy I would give the week off to based on his injury but he probably will be demanding he plays as it means a lot to a captain to skipper his team.

Win is the most important thing, of course, but if we start dominating from the first bounce I hope John tells them to really put the foot down and stay aggressive for the whole match. I remember John saying multiple times at post-match pressers that he wished we were able to press home our advantage, so I think it's important we do that on Sat if it looks like its going to be one of those games. Really need the % boost, but win is definitely most important thing.

Only changes would be forced or the change to get Grundy back, maybe Marsh out. But other than that I felt everybody earned their spot for another week. Hopefully we can keep that exciting, uplifting, 100 point scoring energy going at the SCG!

... and slingshotting (yes that's a verb) quickly down the corridor ....

Seems to me that technically it would be slingshooting. But I'll let you off given it was a great write up.

With the boys all hyped up from the inspirational win over North, despite carrying 1466 games worth of injuries, it would be a shame to "do a Hawks" and lose to Gold Coast this week. Horse needs to get the team back on planet earth. GC may be a bottom dweller but they have picked up three scalps this year and Dew has better insight into the Swans than any other opposition. IMO forward pressure to stop their rebound will be key.

I agree we need the percentage. I'm sure Longmire tells them to put the foot down every time we get a good lead on another team but players are a bit like my kids, they don't always hear or heed the message. It's a bit like "Lower your eys and don't just bang it in long inside 50". I reckon Horse repeats that at almost every huddle.

Nah bunge SF was correct, it's slingshotting.

Good write up. One thing I noticed by those scores is that we’ve never actually blown them away. Usually when you have a team as strong as ours over the years and one that has been very ordinary, there are massive thrashing’s.

It'd be great top stretch our % out a bit. Getting that home game would be huge....even if it's just top 4, but win that and a prelim at home! Although....we should probably play our home games at Etihad.

Yep, you'd think there'd be at least one thrashing... here's hoping it's this weekend!

maybe
In: Grundy, Rohan/Dawson (but assume Rohan)
Out: JPK ("managed"), maybe Marsh (or stays and Jones to the middle)

Looks like no Kieran Jack as not at training today.

PS If McVeigh had surgery for broken collar bone last week, how can he be doing ball work already!?
