Round 2 Trades

Trades this week as it stands currently, it's all dependant on Howe being named to play tomorrow evening.

Steele > Marcus Adams
Robinson > Dangerfield

If Howe doesn't make the bench tomorrow, Im going to have to get Johanissen instead of Dangerfield as I'll need to shore up that backline with Rosa out.

Hey guys.

Thinking of getting rid of McTippa, should have gone with my gut feeling of M.Adams instead, just didnt have the cash at the time.

Trades for this weeks are

McTippa -> M.Adams
Robinson -> S.Gray / B.Gibbs

I am stumped on this one, Gray is DPP, but gibbs could be a good POD>

any thoughts or suggestions?, both have same break evens and same scoring potential IMO

Will Gray be in the top 6 fwds by seasons end? Good chance.

Will Gibbs be in the top 8 mids by seasons end? Highly unlikely.

Hope this helps.

With Hartley and Kommer being named, I'm happy to roll with my bench players as is for this week and have opted to go a couple of sideways trades and netting me $95k.

T. Adams > Parker - Supreme confidence in Parkers scoring ability with lower BE
Barlow > S. Gray - Lower BE with Gray and will average 100+. Similar scores by years end but will make me immediate money

Damn that's a tempting trade. Parker is so cheap for what he can produce.

Not sure how much we can read into that game. Surely Collingwood aren't going to be that bad?

I think I'll be sticking with Adams for now. After Richmond they have a nice little run of games. He was in their top 3 scorers and their best.

I like the Barlow -> Gray trade. Still think Barlow will be in the top fwds end of year - Fyfe only had 54 points so Barlows 84 looks pretty good. Gray is hard to pass up at the moment however.

Can't decide between
Barlow -> S. Gray
Or
McDonald-Tip -> C. Cameron

Barlow is a premo, he will be consistent for the whole year. I would not trade him out (despite hating freo :l). Sam Gray seems to be the flavour of the month, would be a good pick up, but I feel that Barlow is proven more. Perhaps try and get gray some other way, I would Keep barlow.

Trtade out McTippa, he is a spud, he looked so lost on the weekend, didnt know where to run, didnt have the confidence, he will miss some games this year. I like the way Clay Cameron played last week, he scored pretty well, despite hurting his shoulder, remained on for the rest of the game.

McTippa -> Cameron for me

Would love some help with my trades.. cant decide who I want to trade out, probably Harwood and maybe MCrouch at this stage? (Assuming Howe is named) $88k salary

I want Titch in, but the only way I can do that is ditch Harwood to Hartley and MCrouch to him.

Otherwise Sam Gray is also the other must have I think.

Tough to chop MCrouch so early (I remember culling Lachie Neale last year after his 65 in R1 which haunted me all year!) but then again I dont know who else to trade out! First world problems!

Cheers

Your squad looks pretty settled. You don't need to trade, even if Howe plays. Have you considered not trading? I expect Harwood (BE 29) will be better this week with Merrett back in the side, it could be worth giving him another run.

Another option you could look at is just 1 trade - M Crouch to Zaka to take advantage of his lower break even (66 for Crouch, 43 for Zaka)? Consider Zaka a stepping stone to Titch. Problem is it burns a lot of your cash, which leaves you with less flexibility if forced trades are necessary in the coming weeks.

If you're really set on Titch then your suggestion of Harwood to Hartley (field Dea or Adams) and Crouch to Titch isn't a bad one. Crouch is expendable and his price might not rise by much this week. I have him, too; holding this week as I need to trade Robbo and Simpkin, but he's in the gun next week unless he smashes the Showdown.

Hmm never really thought about not trading if Im honest, feels like I'd be "wasting" not using them!
Harwood should go up a little in price, but I doubt he will score anymore than a Dea who Id field instead.. so Im keen to ditch him, and I feel I need one of Sam Gray or Titch asap before they go up too much.

Titch BE 91, projected to score 110 and go up about $9k. Gray BE 50, projected to score 74 and go up about $11k.

Ignore the score projections as they're BS, but Gray's price is projected to rise more quickly than Titch's (understandable, as he started at a lower price) so if you're set on both you'd be better off getting Gray in first. Although Titch could destroy Carlton...

Oh I'm sure if Mitchell is on track for 180 Longmire will find a reason to bench him for the rest of the game

How likely are Hewett and Papley to both play this week? I traded both in, now thinking of going for something a bit safer...

Milera - Marcus Adams
Sidebum - Ablett

Sidey point of difference didn't pay off. Ablett straight in and with the C duties to give Danger a break.

There weren't really too many poor performers to get rid of from my 2137 from rd1 so went with Milera to Adams for the lower break even and gives me another Def/Fwd DPP

Hey Guys,

where is the best place to find Breakevens and score projections? is used to use Footywire last year, but dont think it has updated this yet?

Based on their efforts last week (both very good), I'd say they're safe for this week.

A Horse is an unpredictable beast, though.

Footywire should have estimates after round 2 - not having them after round 1 is a hangover from the AF switch to weekly price changes.

As far as I know the only place to find them at the moment is by subscribing to Fantasy Coach.

Tempted to go Sidey -> Ablett and Robinson-> S.Gray, but then again I have 4 bench rookies who aren't playing and maybe won't this season and I don't know if I should hop on a cash cow instead. ****ing decisions.

My weakest points from round 1 are Barlow, Harwood & McDonald-Tip

See it as a waste not using the trades

Gone with Barlow --> Hickey & Tip --> Wilson

Robinson -> Sam Gray
Steele -> De Goey

Wanted De Goey over Steele anyway prior to Round 1, but cash didn't allow it. Robbo down to Gray an easy decision.
