Trades Round 2 Trades

Operation get Rocky is a difficult one.

None of my midfield did anything wrong:

Macrae, Brayshaw, Mrouch, Brouch, Libba, Cousins, Walsh, Scott (Gibbons/Constable).

A bit puzzled how I get rocky at this early stage so I might wait a week for more information.

Teams will probably decide what im doing but:

On the chopping block:
Williams, Balta, Dunkley, Heeney, L.McCarthy.

Targets:
Rocky, Schultz (if named) and Newman.

About the only ways I can get Rocky are:

1) Brayshaw down to Rocky.
2) Dunkley to Worpel, then upgrade B Crouch.
3) Williams (if injured) to 180 K rookie, then upgrade Libba.

Hmmm....

Option 3 or nothing I reckon. Brayshaw just as likely to go 160. Dunkley is a top 2 forward if Beveridge isn’t an ass.. plus you can’t get rid of Brouch this early. Williams was fairly underwhelming anyway but there’s not many 180k rookies you’d be confident of starting on field

Holy shit, this 'new better' version of Fantasy is the most frustrating shit. Takes way longer to do things that used to be simple.

I can't believe they got rid of the whole Drag and Dropping players around to order them in particular.

i know it sounds a bit outrageous, but we ought to get a petition going to revert to the old format. This new design is almost unusable, especially for trades. Whoever signed off on this new layout has obviously never played AFL Fantasy before. Trading is a nightmare right now.

Need 120k. Only player I’m comfortable trading down is Williams. Only real option under 300k in def which I don’t have already is Rozee. Don’t love it, but is it worth it?

Tempted to go Libba to Scott and Heeney to Boak. Will have to monitor Zach Williams regarding injury, he didn't look that fantasy relevant though.

Then the next decision which will probably take up half my week is Schultz or Parker!

Parker would have much better job security, he's a Liam Ryan type talent that does the spectacular which will give him a bit of leeway in terms of getting dropped.

Schulz is behind Walters, Ballantyne, Matera and Switkowski. Even if Ballas is out for a while the other 3 could realistically push him out. Matera likely back in from suspension and Switkowski a week or two away from from returning from a hamstring.

Matera is a spud. Freo would be going backwards if they brought him in. It is Ross Lyon we are talking about though.

I am very confused over what to do this week.

Scored 2121 which while not being absolutely terrible, was a pretty big drop off from other top scoring teams.

Had the C on Macrae, and own Cogs, so that's a loss of about 50 or so points just there. Also don't own Rocky or Boak.

Can anybody see an obvious player to upgrade/downgrade to Rocky in my midfield?

Macrae (107), Cogs (161), Cripps (101), B.Crouch (109), Sheed (133), Liberatore (87), Cousins (98), Walsh (87)

Bench - Scott (97), Constable (82).

Libba is probably the one that stands out for me, but he was solid enough for his price. I don't want to totally gut my team to get in Rocky after one week if he's only going to sit around the 100 mark for the rest of the year.

The most obvious place I can find the cash to go Liberatore to Rocky which is $238k is from my heavily mid price forward line.

Dangerfield (103), Dunkley (79), Worpel (101), Higgins (83), Elliot (79), Setterfield (71)

Bench - Drew (86), Balta (29).

I guess the most obvious move would be a Higgins or Elliot down to Parker (field Drew) and then Libba up to Rocky.

I am a little hesitant to do that though, given I took a risk in the forwards with the mid pricers and while Higgins and Elliot didn't set the world on fire, they both scored well enough to make money and I would love to roll with them for at least another week.

At the moment I feel I could go two ways with trades.

Option 1 - Higgins/Elliot to Parker and then Libba to Rocky. Changes my forward line structure and means I still keep Balta.

Option 2 - Keep my same structure and go Dunkley to Boak and then Balta to Parker. Gives me Drew and Parker on the fwd bench.

I think Rocky would still be gettable next week if I made a similar trade with a fwd mid pricer and Libba.

Thoughts?

Challenging week for trades this week. Would love to get Rocky in, but finding it hard given all my midfield performed well enough on the weekend. Libba would be the most likely to go.

Have exactly $0k in the bank which does make it tricky as well.

Will probably hold Dunkley but definitely tempting to use him to generate cash to get Rocky.

I really wish I watched jlt and didn't just go off what people were saying on here in regards to rookies,

Only have 1k in the bank with Hore/Balta/Burgess/2 non playing rucks

Going to take the risk on some 170k'ers this week I think.
