Haha, I was just remembering back to last year when they played him deep forward against rubbish sides like Brisbane and Essendon and he only just managed to scrape to 100. I think this week will be eerily similar.

hahaha i hate how much sense that makes and hope you are thoroughly incorrect

Surely that was a management thing?

IIRC they played Brisbane away late in the season and Essendon at Etihad late too, give others time in the guts getting him right for September etc.

Essendon at the G in round 2 he only had about 27 touches that day, a poor mark/tackle count and got 85 or something.

Geelong need wins in the bank right now, I reckon they'll attempt these strategies later in the year.

The game that had stuck in my mind was the game against Brisbane at Simmonds stadium early in the year. Played him basically at full forward all game. I think management will be in full effect all year for them, with games like this providing a great opportunity for others to play big minutes in the middle. Scott has been pretty vocal about it.

Take Treloars VC?
Yep

I only lost out by 3 last week not going Titchell instead and taking Treloar. Danger 118, Beams 103, Crouch 97, Steven 94, non-captain option Laird cleaned up.

Will likely be a top 3-4 score for our teams this week, will take it.

I reckon under 110 you risk it and captain someone else, but 110-120 is a good score so you think about it. 120+ no brainer

Those figures (while they can slightly change given circumstances) are just about right for me too.

Hibberd is a Sunday bench, won't know til tomorrow with him
Or a late in after being an emergency. Treloar has gauranteed that I don't make a trade this week which is a positive I think. Smith definitely won't play play.

I ended up rocking Pruess @ R3 so I could downgrade him in 5/6 weeks Time to Cameron. Risky as with Nankervis a ruck/forward would have been handy at R3.

So Smith is my gauranteed doughnut.

How do you know Cameron isn't due for 5/6 weeks time?

He won't play this week, so even if he debuts next week, you don't need to get him in until at least round 5

This .

But I also feel that he will take C. Sinclair's place as an emergency. I feel that he would be waiting for an injury to Tippett/Naismith/Franklin/Reid to get a game. Unless of course as Reid is a more 3rd forward type that one of Tippett/Cameron played predominantly forward as opposed to a ruck/forward .

VC pendles with the 110, but dont think ill take that when Danger scored 187 v north last year.

And you take that score out and his average against North is 79.

He's had one monster score against them, doesn't mean it's the norm.

Context of that score is important. North were still top of the ladder at that stage, and had Danger not gone to those efforts Geelong would've lost quite comfortably.

Won't need to exert himself like that this weekend.

Will still score 130+ against those witches hats.
