If wce wear royal vs carl and coll why cant they wear it vs freo
Purple is closer to royal than navy is.
Also pretty sure Carlton and Collingwood are secretly almost as "anti-opposition wearing clash" as they are "anti-us wearing clash". Thinking of Eddie McG's comments about "nobody in dressup tonight, fantastic for football" from a few years back.

Docker's Blurple clashes with our Royal
Navy/black doesn't clash with Royal at all

Doesn't the AFL work on the fixture by placing those that sit in groups of sixes to play each other twice. I believe this would be the first time in ages that both Freo and West Coast don't fall into the same group of six.
With the exception of rivalries outside Victoria which always play each other twice. There is no chance 7 would want to see these high rating games in SA/WA reduced to one game when they can have two.

No. The AFL tries to 'weight' the fixture to an extent, but always ensures that blockbusters are held twice per year. i.e. derbies, showdowns, big-4 match-ups, etc
