Briggs has been pretty good, I reckon.
Gawn's going okay around the ground, but a bit all arms and legs on marking and ground balls is more what i'm seeing. Getting to the right spots, but not doing things

In the ruck purely Briggs has him covered

Few first half thoughts:
  • Bowey and Laurie are too close to the ground to be this fumbly
  • Some of our most experienced are panic merchants
  • All our hacks off ground have been disastrous and thiers kissed on the D
  • Fitness will undo us in second half
  • Umpires have been hopeless
  • Windsor might be our best player in a few years

I mean this is why I wasn't excited in the first quarter.

We've done this quite a few times in the last few years, have a great first quarter then the oppo reel us in and we can't score for the rest of the game.
Its what happens when you rely purely on pressure for goals and you dont have a system that works to get you some easy ones.

Clarry has been much better in the contest this game at least though still not super impactful. Honestly don't mind giving Laurie midfield minutes and he's been more involved than normal but still looks out of his depth.

They're killing us on the outside with speed and better ball users.

The only thing more Melbourne than blowing a hot start with a shit second quarter is a goalless quarter. Looking forward to the third.

Olympic Patty Mills is like a mixture of Lebron, Jordan and Kobe
