Happy Easter all.

A lot of wrist-slitting going here from the looks of it.

The team is playing far better than it did a year ago.

As in the first two matches, the contested game is breaking even (contested possessions -9, clearances +10), but the team is being smashed on the outside, particularly from turnover.

Five of six Bulldogs goals in that second quarter were from turnover.

This team is not as far away from being successful again as most think.

Correct the skill errors, improve decision-making and better options on the outside and things will suddenly start to look very different.

Ginbey just doesn’t attack the ball. He appears hesitant to GO. I don’t think it’s fear I just think he’s not sure of what to do. Just attack son ; attack!!

Ginbey doesn't read the direction of the ball until it's hitting the ground as a mid. He can go full on attack all he likes but if he can't make it to the drop of the ball he just won't get the ball.

Ginbey has a huge work load ahead in game development.

I'm not surprised for the club to be down as much as we are in this game. We get punished on turnover but are unable to do the same to the opposition. In a lot of ways we are playing 2 true physically developed midfielders against 10.

Chesser is the true worry though. Half a game, 2 disposals for 2 metres gained and again due to years of injury lacks the ability to know when and where to be. Got blown apart with a couple of goals kicked against him, had to change the match up and then nothing.

Darling, Yeo, McGovern, Barrass and bar 1 bad decision think Jamieson have all been very good. Waterman if he had of taken his opportunities would be in that bracket as well. Cripps and Waterman covering a lot of ground trying to cover transition but the midfield is just getting destroyed.

For anyone who wants to talk about 'just play the kids' this is why you can't. They might be able to hold the first quarter and half or even the third but they just get bashed, bruised and run out of gas in the second, fourth and late in quarters the full game.
