I understand JM's trade even though I don't necessraily agree with it. I suspect they will average similar with Zorko getting more scores between 90-110 while Roughy is likely to go huge one game and do average another and would be more frustrating.

I wouldn't have done it though because of the golden rule of not sideways trading premiums who will likely score the sameish come the season's end.

FWIW - Just read on the Geelong board that two of our emergencies (Sherringham and Simpson) didn't line up for the reserves game last night, so they are a chance to play tonight. Possibly suggests that Enright may be a late out, but neither are like for like replacements, so who knows really.

I'm not surprised. I had him a 30/70 chance to play.

I had emergency in lang last night. If I put another emergency in georgiou who comes in if enright doesn't play?

It sounds more like 'justification' rather than an explanation of why you did that trade. Talk yourself into it as much as you like, but you're just talking rubbish about Zorko going to be more consistent than Roughy. You do not know that. Honestly, I hope Zorko scores a 60 this week just to knock some sense into you.

I'm prepared to take the risk mate. If Zorko keeps racking them up like he has been doing and the 2nd part of the 2 week plan in Swallow keeps getting 25-30 possies a week I'll be laughing!

FWIW Judd_Magic I understand your trades.

Sound team balance trades. I wouldn't have been ballsy enuff and I hope zorko smashes out a 110 for you

You know the way I roll mate. I'll never die wondering with my trades and am prepared to make a few ballsy decisions. Alot of people don't necessarily agree with what I do at times and that's ok. Sometimes you just have to go with your instincts and itchy trigger trade finger.

If I had of known that my Roughead to Zorko trade was going to cause so much debate I would never have suggested it on here in the first place. LOL!

I think some people flared up because of how often you posted it. Explaining why. Asking for opinions. More explanations. Then validating your reasons when Roughy hit the tonne again.

For what's it worth, I did two sideways trades. I have no rookie issues whatsoever, it freed me up to:

Wright > Zorko
Pyke > Mumford.

Yep, I'm chasing points - and this has back fired BIG on me in the past. However I think (and hope) it's a risk worth taking.

Yep! Judd_Magic is a legend on here and all of us look forward to seeing what trades he will do next.:thumbsu:

3/317 after last night, happy that I ended up sticking with Pav.

D.Martin, Libba, Higgins, Danger, Parker, Zorko, Aish, Swallow and Ablett (C) today.

Dunstan, Ellis, Beams and Langdon tonight.

Big day.

Reading through the posts late last night, there appear to be a couple of people with good opinions but who seem to be struggling to put those opinions in to words and arguments without attacking someone personally, or being damn right rude about it. There is nothing wrong with having alternate views or having a rigorous and robust discussion, as long as it is civil and respectful.

The people I'm talking about know who they are. Please think about the way you word your responses and act towards the community on this board. There's an alternative to this, but you won't like it too much.

Help!

Backline consists of: McDonald, Georgiou, Langdon, Laidler. Out of those 4 who should be on the ground and who should be emergency?

A bashed and crashed Ablett will do better than 117
I'm not really worried about Ablett's score. I want a freaky score from Hanley to win my league match. I've already got a few out, so might as well go for broke...

Problem is you might just get that freaky score. I'd back Ablett over Hanley every day of the week.

Alright, well I'm hoping he scores 150+ for you then, brother! I have him in my team too, so definitely wouldn't be against a humongous score :)
