I’m excited to see Cox on Dixon or Marshall who have a lot more talent than McStay. Will have a much better idea of where Cox is at.

We‘ll very likely been Owen 3 which is unfair but then hopefully bring the ledger back with GC/Adelaide and a run of home games

Wasn't looking too closely, but I liked what I saw of Cox today.

Owen 3 I think means we're pretty close to dropping any talk of finals. If we can't bring the ledger back against Adelaide and Gold Coast I'd be pretty concerned.

But tough to drop Hughes..he had a mare but was no match for a rampant Cameron today, not his usual form.

How do we fit hill and Wilson in? Are we all sold on Wilson, he’s not quick?

If Wilson is fit I'd play him. Need that experience and beautiful kick.

Young showed some signs, but just seemed a little off the pace needed to execute his skills at AFL level.

Going to be a big test for the whole backline!

They’re very talented but have had a soft underbelly recently and exposing that would be our only hope. Unfortunately we’re certainly not the team to bring that sort of heat just yet. It could get ugly.

My thoughts on today were as follows:
1. Need to get Cerra delivering I50 as much as possible. Looked really good today at times - this is what he was drafted for.
2. At half time, our lack of a lockdown small defender was glaring. Logue done a good job on Cameron in the second half to be fair. Still think it’s a hole in the list. Hughes was taken to the cleaners today.
3. Need Wilson back in - possibly for Duman. Young was a bit off the pace at times but will benefit from more games.
4. Hogan for Darcy - just a no brainer. We need a bigger scoring threat. Lobb to the ruck, if he doesn’t like it maybe Tabs can pinch hit at times.
5. One of matera or Schultz should be out, for Sturt ideally if fit. If not, I’d give serong a game.
6. thought Aish was superb. Shaping up as a bargain pick up. A second rounder for Aish & a third rounder? Every day of the week.
7. Acres availability will determine if Fyfe spends more time forward. Fyfe is an A grade key forward in his own right though
8. Can’t make up my mind if Colyer survives, but he’s very close to the trapdoor for next week. If Hill is fit he comes in straight away for him.
9. Tucker developing nicely and is a potential A grader or a very solid best 10 player, also love his durability.
10. A fit Hamling and Pearce would make us a very serious team indeed in a year or so.

Was a terrible match up. Should never have happened tbh. Coaching error 100%.
Had to be Hughes first, it’s what he’s in the team for and if he wants a spot in the team he has to take that chance. Too much quality to come into that backline

Not sure Sturt played today. Doesn't get mentioned, just Hogan with Butters, Thomas. There's an interview/report with Simon Eastough on the website. Quite positive with most players. Serong, Hill, Valente, Crowden, Watson etc

Heard Duffield ask Hale pre-game about Serong and he said he wasn't far off given he was an emergency for the 1st two games and that Hogan needed the match sim and got through the game well.

Everyone who played in the ressie game was mentioned in that article... 14 players plus a Brisbane fill in..

So no Dixon, Sturt, Henry, Blakey etc

Port will smash us, and after watching GC I'm not that optimistic there either.
Jlo starts with 4 losses unfortunately.
If you lose, the coach gets the heat, which is unfair but we've got to get a win somewhere to keep the franchise hopeful
Shocking call. JLO has had us competitive in both games, could easily be 2-0. A semi competent umpire probably sees us win that today.

If we're relying on umpires to get us over the line we won't win games or get to finals.
