I reckon I've hit the reverse button 20 plus times in the last 48 hours. I have settled on just the cash grab of Rayner to Gowers and am keeping Merrett. I guess by the time he bottoms out there'll be other bargains I can jump all over (Hibberd etc) while the not Zach owners are busy cashing in on my Merrett misfortune.

If I back in Hibberd, Adams and Merrett, then I'm not sure what trades to make.

I'd get rid of Dow but there aren't any decent back/mid rookies which I don't have. Gowers is probably the best of the rookies but he is a fwd, I don't know much about him and trading Langdon feels like a bit of a waste.

I think so. At the rate Rayner is going, Gowers will earn more money this week than Rayner will in the next 5.

Very true. I remember the Bont and a couple of others. But the chances of a 2nd year player breaking out are low. I'd be cautious, like Peanut, been burnt too many times from a supposed 'breakout' 2nd year player.

Hibberd, Zerrett and Zorko my issues at the minute (oh and Toby Greene but he'll have to sit on the bench now). Happy with rookies.

At this stage I'm Hibbo>Bonner and banking the cash as he's the only one with a noticeable role change.

If Zerrett has another shocker he will become Danger or Bryce Gibbs next week.

Its also dependant on the role they play. Oliver was pure mid. Look at guys like Mills/Petracca/etc.... Their scoring output was restricted to forward/defensive roles. Taranto playing the midfield minutes he is, I can see him working. I have to admit I was tempted by him.

With Fogarty/Greene/Langdon I have had to trade in at least 1 forward to avoid a 0. Ryan was a simple option, but I aim for overall and need onfield points. From form, Walters looks to be definite top 6 from the first 2 weeks. Taranto needs to keep his role, but, I think he has the ability to be a keeper.

For the record I have actually gone Yolo:

Zorko > Gray
Fogarty > Walters

I know I shouldn't trade a premium, but, the way I look at it I am getting an extra high-end premium (Saving an upgrade). So I am bypassing Taranto.

Id go Rayner -> Barry personally. You are a port supporter so probably know better than me about JS, but, he appears good for a 70+ average and for a cheap rookie you would take that.

Beams isn't injured, he is just down (pre-season interuption), he isn't getting tagged, and well we know what he can do.

He will come good, im holding, and plus 150th game this week + vs rocky....if that doesn't make him perform then idnno.

But for me holding Beams, its 2 games man, this guy can average 110+ easily still.

I've changed my trades. I'm going Rayner down to Gowers and O'Meara up to Stephen Coniglio. Kreuzer gets a game to see how he copes with his injury, while Coniglio scores points for fun, O'Meara looked tired in the second half last week. I'll leave Fogarty on the bench to bring in Higgins in the next couple of weeks if he keeps his spot.
