Round 3 trades

Looking to offload Greene & A Goodes this week to avoid 2 x 30k+ price drops and to cash in on a couple of 30k+ price rises.

Greene > Libba
A Goodes > Westhoff
= 120k profit

Whats a better alternative??

kitchell/robbo > moloney/jjk
robbo/karny > jjk/kreuz

is getting moloney sorta not negotiable with a huge price rise expected playing suns.
keeping karny cant be all that bad vs suns as well...

miss out on kruezers first price rise though.....however molneys will be bigger :)

thoughts?

Amazed you didn't get rid of Greene last week

I wanted to give him another week..nothing to lose other than a few points had I gone with plan B and sidewaysed him to Murphy. Ended up going Lucas > Wines & Maccaffer > Leuey so I could move Cox fwd and bench Dwyer. So yeh, Lucas & Dwyer naturally outscore Wines & Leuey by 11 points this week.

Ouch.

Went Lucas> Wines then Greene > J Selwood

We should have a sliding doors version of DT where by you have 2 identical teams at the start then different trades each week

I have gone this week

Zorko > Westhoff
Smith > Kreuzer

Trade of Zorko > Westhoff gives me extra cash I need to do my other trade and allows me to avoid Zorko's drop in price while getting Westhoff's nice increase. Extra cash allows me to get rid of Smith for Kreuzer and leaves me about 60k left over =)

Voss rarely uses the same sub twice in two weeks so I'm fairly certain Karnezis can get 60ish and next week I'll side swap him for Leuenberger and move Cox to fwds

Very tempted to keep Karnezis for the next two weeks considering the Lions play Gold Coast and Melbourne in consecutive weeks and he should be able to score well against both those teams provided he avoids the vest.

Am I crazy in considering trading Ablett to Moloney though for a cash grab for two weeks whilst Ablett's price plummets and Moloney's skyrockets and then swap them back in a couple of rounds, almost making the same amount of cash as downgrading a cow

Players on the block:

Embley, Jon Griff, Zorko and Karnezis.

Was going to do Karnezis --> JJK last week because I thought he would get the vest but changed last minute, so will probably do that this week as I don't want to get burned again.

I don't really want to get rid of Embley yet but I really want to get Moloney in somehow. My other mids are swan, pendles, ablett, lids and stanton.

At this stage my only real concern is Karnezis. That he got the green vest on Saturday is disappointing and killed his chances of fulfilling the role he was earmarked for in my side - being a nice early cash cow. I understand that he has two matches coming up in the next fortnight against favourable opponents but I'm not sure I am willing to take that risk as he could quite easily be named as a sub again.

The only forward rookie I don't have that I would like to get is Dwyer. Looked good yesterday and he should stay in the side for a few more weeks yet. May not be a permanent fixture in the Collingwood side all year but looks set to have a couple of nice early price rises which will be handy down the track.

Trading Karnezis to Dwyer gives me an extra $149,200 to play with which will no doubt come in handy down the track.

Other than that my rookies look to be just about spot on. Mitchell is the other one who does not look like being as good a cash cow as I would have liked, purely because he has been named as substitute in both games thus far. I'm not too concerned about him as he's my 10th midfielder so having him there not making as much money as initially hoped is not a disaster. If I was to trade him I would do so to bring in Matt Jones who has looked OK and nothing more, but we should probably see a nice increase in his price in the coming weeks. I'm luke warm on this trade, not an absolute must but I think I could do far worse.

I said last week that for the coming week I would be considering trading Franklin, Goddard, Grimes or Bartel - basically looking to get rid of any premiums that are underperforming and who look set to drop in price. Goddard scored well on Saturday night so trading him this week is not an option for me, and the same can be said for Bartel who did well yesterday. Franklin looked good yesterday against West Coast so he's not a must trade but he does have a high B/E which he would have to be unlikely to reach next week vs Collingwood. The issue there is that there aren't too many premiums in the forward line that are worth trading to - Chappy is the only one that interests me and even he is no certainty to reach his B/E this week which is around 100. As a result of that I think I've probably cooled off trading Franklin for the time being.

Grimes started excellently on Saturday night but virtually faded into oblivion after quarter time, posting a poor score and as a result he has quite a high B/E which I don't expect him to reach. He looks set for a drop in price over the coming weeks - not a huge one but a drop nonetheless. Unlike in the forward line there are quite a few premium defenders who are worth trading to. All of Heppell, Birchall and Hanley are nicely priced, performing well thus far and look set for price increases over the next few weeks. I considered starting each of the 3 in my side but ultimately went with Grimes which has not been a disastrous decision but ultimately not the correct one. I see this as a great opportunity to trade an underperforming player to a premium who is performing well, pocketing some cash in doing so ($35,000 if I trade to Heppell, $18,600 to Birchall and $48,700 to Hanley). At this stage I'm looking to Heppell but Hanley does have what looks to be a really favourable few weeks coming up.

So at this stage I'm considering the following two trades:

1) Karnezis to Dwyer
2) Grimes to Heppell

Those trades will give me $215,700 spare to play around with in the coming weeks and further capitalize on the premiums who represent good value.

Can anyone fault these trades or suggest something that would be of greater benefit to my side?

Toumpas > Dwyer
Zorko > Westhoff.

Both maximising profits, everything else I am super happy with. Karnesis only needs a 60/70 to BE and I highly doubt he will be the sub again. Plan on doing him to Leuy after round 3, bringing Cox in the forwards anyway.

Have 200k in the bank after these trades, making room for big upgrades to a premo soon in the mids soon.

Trade 1: Robbo to JJK
Trade 2: JPK to either Moloney or Libba.

Who do you guys think has better value overall (scoring potential and price rises) between Moloney and libba?

You can do this now. Click on the 'T' to trade Karn, then in the trade screen click on the 'S' next to cox's name to put him in the forwards without having to DPP swap with anyone. Then you can trade Leuy/Kruz into the rucks.

with the 2 trade a week at the moment karnezis to dwyer is a no brainer. even if it were the old trade limits you'd still have to go it i think. karny has been a bit of a disaster, and even with gold coast and melbourne coming up he is still a big chance to get vested, and even if he isn't, there's no guarantee he's going to score heavily.

i'll be trading him out for a rookie forward this week for sure, but not sure which. will wait to teams. i already have dwyer. jonathon pattons is the best performed <200k but young KPF are fraught with danger. but if you get him in and trade him out when he's price plateau's in probably 4ish weeks then it's fine i guess.

the usual DT/SC regrets, if i had've played dwyer instead of karny this week i'd be top 1000. that's probably the same for a shitload of people though.
