Round 4 Tips and Crowd Expectations

Fair enough
I rate North higher than most I think. It'll be interesting to see the ruck contest. I watched Pruest last weekend and he is very good.
Preust has done very well. Watched him against Geelong. North played very well against Geelong and blew it. Much like Melbourne. I reckon the Bulldogs class will come through this week, they'll be pretty amped up after losing to Fremantle.

This is a danger game for us. Seriously hope goal kicking has been the focus this week.
It is an important game for us. We would be in a pretty good position if we are 3-1 after this round which I think we will be. I think our accuracy in front of goal was an aberration and it won't happen too often this season I reckon. Freo winning against the Dogs makes this match a little bit more interesting but I think we'll be too good in the end.

You'd hope so. Richmond, Adelaide, Hawthorn, North to come. We play our best footy and we win all bar the Adelaide game. Losing Gawn though, Jesus, that's seriously bad. That loss could cost us big time. I hope Spencer can step up.

We also play Essendon in-between the Richmond and Adelaide games, so those three games will be very important for our season. It should be a good indication of where we are at as a side. I think we will be fine without Gawn. I reckon our midfield is good enough to cope without him, it will be his work around the ground especially as a aerial presence that will be missed. I'm pretty happy with the way we are playing and I think we're going to reap the rewards sooner rather than later.

Your right
Their the brst team in the comp. I am just interested to see how they go against a reaĺly dominant rucking combination.
I think other sides have tried drilling their midfiekd play in the off season from what I've seen. I tjink other sides will akways be playing catch up at that game, their very, very good at it.
I wonder if the way to bring them down is to match their ferocity at the ball, which we tried in the PF and fell a bit short, or attack where they are weakest.
To me that might be with strong rucks they cant negate with the rule changes. With a fair share of posession it should be possible to bring the key forwards into the game. Just musing.

saints will destroy collingwood and put the blowtorch back on bucks IMO. our forwards will run a muck!

I actually think Geelong at their best is on par with the WB, and Adelaide are a step in front of everyone. I think matching their intensity is key, matching intensity and having a good ability to work through traffic. Which is basically just to keep running.

IF we bring our best footy to the table, we could win all this games. Very very big IF though. Adelaide we won't win. The Swans, Dogs, and Giants are massive tests. We've got to really stay focused but I think our best footy gets us the results we want.

No idea how having Gawn out will impact us yet. Personally I'd like Pedo in the side other than than Spencer.

If we are 7-3 or 8-2 by the time the bye comes around, I'll be happy. That should have us just in or outside the top 4 I reckon. For this year, I hope we can at least push hard for a top 4 spot. We should be in a really good position if we have 7-8 wins by the time the bye comes around.

West Coast Vs Sydney - Eagles to prove who the big birds really are and add another nail.

North Melbourne Vs Western Bulldogs - North fans to start a petition "Bring Back Boomer" after they are steamrolled by a team on a roll after topping up their end of season trip fund betting on Freo ;)

Melbourne Vs Fremantle - If the Dees are serious they will win this, if not Ol' Rossy may just get another 5 year contract come Tuesday

GWS Vs Port Adelaide - Power fall just short in a gallant effort again this week. Be interesting if this were in Adelaide though.

Carlton Vs Gold Coast - GAJ to go back into his slumber but Touk and Jack do the heavy lifting and the Suns go back to back.

Adelaide Crows Vs Essendon - Will the showdown take more out of the Crows or the wet take everything out of the Dons? Adelaide by a mile and Eddie to give the Bomber defenders nightmares before and after the game.

Collingwood Vs St Kilda - Oh when the Saints go marching in, Pies better midfield, Saints better forward line, now where are the goals kicked? Roo to make another defender or defenders his bitch in a 12 point win.

Brisbane Vs Richmond - Surely the Tigers confidence and Dusty on fire will be enough to get them over the line, though may be closer then some expect.

Hawthorn Vs Geelong - Turning back time the Cats win after the siren in a classic.

There could be a few upsets this week. If Freo bring intensity like last week, they are a big chance to beat Melbourne. I reckon Essendon will beat Adelaide and Brisbane certainly capable of beating Richmond at home. Expect Hawthorn to throw everything at Geelong too. People may laugh at this, would not surprise me after this week if there no unbeaten teams. Im putting money on Brisbane, Essendon, Hawthorn to win. Bulldogs no certainties to beat North Melbourne either. Gold Coast could easily beat Carlton. Fascinating season ahead, with ups and downs for all clubs!

Whats your reasoning for Essendon beating Adelaide, Curious.

Adelaide could suffer a letdown after a big win last week. I reckon the comp. is so even that it is going to be very difficult to win four in a row. Essendon will be very competitive against anyone this year. Adelaide will be a big premiership threat this year, top 4 certainties, there is no doubt. But It wouldnt surprise me if they lost this week. I am probably wrong though. Just an opinion.

Fair enough, respect your opinion, our record after showdowns is 11-7, yes sometimes suffer a hangover but i believe with Pyke as our head coach will have feet firmly on the ground this week. We could of gotten ahead of ourselves after smashing Western Sydney but we didn't, we were professional and im confident keep that going.,

Fair enough, it obviously depends on how you rate certain teams, but I've been mostly impressed with the way we've been playing this year. My specific aim before this season started was to at least finish in the top 6 which I think is realistic but could be made a little bit harder with Gawn out. It's not ideal but we still should be good enough to play in the finals. I'd be very disappointed if we didn't make finals. 2018, I'd say there are no excuses for us and that we should aim for the top 4.

I think it'll be closer to 35k. I don't see how it being Good Friday makes it a more appealing match to attract a crowd bigger than what the two would normally get, especially with a typically low-drawing club in North not travelling well. I think people are both grossly overstating the commercial appeal of Good Friday, and understating the importance of the day for a large cross section of the community. I'm not again it, actually quite happy for it, but this stands to be a TV bonanza rather than a gate bonanza. Sorry to say.

If you get 40k I'll buy a membership of the winning team.

Crowd was 42k, time to sign up too the Doggies! ;)

Hahahahhahahaahahahahahahahahaha

Wow you really are over rating your team that hasn't done anything for ten years.

Your struggle against The blues showed your miles off.

On form Richmond blow you away and without Gawn I believe your gone.

I've tipped freo now, Sandi will dominate and your poor depth is being exposed
