Trades Round 4 trades

Andy Brayshaw is a definite goner for me this week... other than that I have no idea

A few that I feel have shaky JS right now - e.g. Marlion, Curtis Taylor, etc

Actually can do it by going:
Whitfield > Pittonet (Ceglar FWD)
M.Pickett > Daicos
Madgen > Doedee

I kinda like those trades, Daicos could be a decent stepping stone

I like it! You've inspired me.
Dunkley -> Simpkin
Pickets or McInerney -> Daicos
Cumming - Doedee.
Leaves me 4 rooks on field (Starc, Rowell, Anderson, Budarik).

Jacobs may yet survive another week. His BE is OK for now and perhaps Grundy will bring the best out of him this week.

This week should be a simple one for me for the fact I have to bring in a ruckman. What's your preference here?

Whitfield > Doedee
Jacobs > Gawn
Cavarra > Hamill (or other <190k rookie)

Or

Whitfield > Caldwell
Jacobs > Grundy
Cavarra > Hamill (or any other <190k rookie)

Assuming Caldwell plays I reckon 2nd option and lock the C on Grundy.

Still don't understand the Naismith trading. Negative BE, 200k to make, no. 1 ruck.

It's annoying how few downgrade options we have. Is Vandermeer's JS solid?? Him and Hammill look like the best rookies I don't already have. Concerning.

Naismith could have 1 billion to make. It doesn't matter if he's not playing.
Most people had him on field and you can only risk the Cameron score for so long.
I dumped him last week and will give him 1 game back to prove his fitness before I jump back on.

I ditched Naismith due to the short season I could not wait a month to benefit from the upgrade value he offered.

Yes I would have preferred him to play and generate more cash, but I needed money to make fixes and this year is not the one to play a long game IMO.

Can get aggressive and upgrade Anderson to Selwood or Noble to Lloyd this week. Looks a toss up.. leaning towards the top

Selwood + Noble vs

Lloyd + Anderson

Half your luck. I'm not even considering Bray.

Jones
Jacobs
McHenry
Gould
Dunkley
Whitfield (too late, must hold!)

A third gamer and a bloke who didn't play were my top 2 scores for the week

Rank 1 side ATM. Gives me hope...that bench 🤮 But maybe this season will allow this sort of gameplay?

Seems to be consistent with a lot of the top sides at the moment ignoring cash generation on bench for purely focusing on points on field.

Yeah cash gen isn't going to be as important with a shortened season, but having the money to be flexible in getting in the 'form' players in the backhalf of the season is going to be key as it always is when it's back down to two trades a week again. Not having the money to complete your lines with premos is going to hurt when rookies start getting tired or getting dropped all together towards the end of the year with the lack of conditioning compared to normal with an interupted season. Besides, I'll gladly eat my hat if players like Butler and Higgins are still over-performing their form from previous seasons a month from now.

Anderson for the job security I reckon but both on the chopping block.
I only brought in Anderson last week hoping for another 60+ so that was a fail.
He'll have to perform this week or he'll be straight out! Not the worst trade anyway as he's making some coin.

So confused as what to do this week.

Luckily don’t have Whitfield or Dunkley, but only have $11k in the bank and no obvious way of making money.

Still have Cavarra and Davis on the bench, but it basically costs money to get them to any decent rookie.

Thinking of trading Ceglar (R2), down to Pittonet. Ceglar has been serviceable (70 average), but I can make just about $200k from this move and not lose out on any scoring potential.

Very tempted to upgrade a Brodie Smith/Brayshaw/Houston type with the $200k, but my team isn’t total trash (moved to around 6,000 from 27,000 in round 1), so will probably use this week to fix up off field rookies who are still sitting there.

Probably a Cavarra/Davis to Rivers and another rookie move.

Really wanted neal this week but going to have to settle for macrae. Hopefully with 1 less mid with dunkley out he can keep up scoring. Also they won so u would assume side will stay similar. Having 2 cracks at the captain is invaluable these days. Macrae as vice will do.

Neale has a low break even too. Might be to expensive if you wait.

Whitfield to Simpkin.
Then I wanted Gaff & Wingard
Couldn't afford it.
Could go Wingard & another mid but then no Gaff to pair with Neale (started with him)
Current trades,

Whitfield to Simpkin
Dunkley to Gaff
Brayshaw to Gresham

Last trade could be reversed for Pickett to Hately/Caldwell but I don't trust GWS.
Greene should be back for mid time (not Green)
