With so many rookies doing exceptionally well this season and not really wanting to miss out on the 2 mentioned in the title, who's everyone planning on culling?

I have Plowman and Mitchell in my plans as they will have the highest BE's.

Who's everyone else got in mind?

Already have both so don't have to worry about bringing them in, took the punt and it looks to have payed off.

Next week I will probably be trading based off break evens again.
Given the ability to utilise two trades per week, I'd suggest most trades should surround the break even points or price increases until the players reach a price plateau.

I'm doing that this week with Greene > Libba & A Goodes > Westfoff. Then hopefully next week if both rookies are name for their 3rd games Embley > Crouch & Karnezis > Rowe or Heath > Terlich. These 4 trades should net me a 400k+ war chest for some serious upgrading the following 2 weeks. Hopefully with out having a negative impact on my scores in the interim. Just seems the best & fastest way to upgrade this year.

I'm already sitting on 360K. I made sure to keep some money in reserve when I first put my team together. You can never project form or injuries in the early part of the season and it's also wise to have some insurance. I have a soft banked goal that I'd like to achieve for the run home after the byes that should help me to upgrade or trade in players in form.

I usually do that, but figured this year with more trades that there would be more wiggle room for aggressive trading. As such, I have far less bones about trading out premiums to free up the cash. :)

Absolutely. My philosophy going into this season was to trade in form ahead of name and hopefully build an attractive banked amount for the business end of the season. At present, I'm averaging a touch under 2,000 thanks to Robinson's Round 1 concussion and not following the Lions-Crows closely enough to have switched Karnezis to either Neade or Macaffer. That put me back about 100-150 points in total alone. It's a reasonable starting position, so no major complaints.

Crouch ,Luey & Rowe are the 3 players I want to get in for round 4 but due to trades I plan on doing this week (in comes Whitfield and Westhoff) I can only bring in 2 of the 3.

I may have to miss Crouch's first price rise and hope I get somewhat compensated by a reasonable increase from Kommer...as long as he avoids the vest.

Lots of IF's until teams are named later this week....

Similar to what I'm doing, but with Danger > Moloney and Byrnes > Kennedy. Which will give me 341k.

Pattyk > Berger
Jones/Viney > Crouch

Fairly boring trades for me next week.

Why would you trade out either of those guys while they're both making shitloads of money? You'd be better off trading Embley>Crouch next week (unless Embley smashes out a 120 this week) ..unless Viney or Jones is dropped for the next game...

You assume ;) I went Embers>Moloney this week. And I'd be trading out that because I can't foresee injuries, etc and I have no other trades to make. At least that trade will net me 30-35k, rather than not trading.

Which week are we discussing? I'm confused:confused:

Anyway, here's my team and changes:

Gibbs, Goddard, Hartlett, Goodes, Stevenson, Pittard (Heath, Terlich)
Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, Deledio, Wines, O'Maera, Viney (Anderson, K.Mitchell)
Maric, Leuenberger (Blicavs, Daw)
Franklin, Rockliff, Cox, Martin, Varcoe, MacCaffer (Neade, Dwyer)

Underlined = disappointing or losing money, red= gawn

K.Mitchell > Moloney
Maric > J.Kennedy (Cox into rucks)

Giving me:

Gibbs, Goddard, Hartlett, Goodes, Stevenson, Pittard (Heath, Terlich)
Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, Deledio, Moloney, Wines, O'Maera (Viney, Anderson)
Cox, Leuenberger (Blicavs, Daw)
Franklin, Rockliff, Martin, J.Kennedy, Varcoe, MacCaffer (Neade, Dwyer)

Midfield looking juicy. Will turn Kennedy into Thomas or SJ after 2 price rises (baring disaster this week).

Will most likely be getting Crouch and Luey next week. Karnezis, Varcoe and Lucas the ones I'll be looking at trading out.

My team is startlingly similar to yours...
