Haha, yeah. I was only thinking Peter or Sam. Oops.Matt Wright I think.
Wright is an example of a player you start with, not trade in. He's averaged 75-85 a few times, but I think he's around that top 15-20 forward range, not top 10.
Gone with my original thought and brought in Jelwood. My only issue with this selection is that I can't stand him. I'll have to put my personal feelings aside. There's no value in upgrading to a value pick unless you feel that player will absolutely become a top 10 performer in their position (top 4 for rucks). Rockliff is the perfect example of a value pick once he bottoms out, I guess Zaharakis and Hunter once were also due to their fast starts, but apart from Rockliff, not many on the horizon.
Ubers like M Boyd, McVeigh, Treloar, Priddis, Dahlhaus will bottom out soon or are bottoming out right now and should be heavily considered. Jack Steven is on the radar also, he's lost 20k recently, hopefully he loses another 20-30k in the next week or two as he generally holds his value well which will make it hard to bring him in later in the year.
You start with value in the hope of finding a breakout contender/leg up to a premo, or you finish with value once the trades are running down and need late season contingency plans (e.g bench/injury cover). Mid-season value picks generally aren't top performers in their position and imo leaves you short compared to someone who would rather play the DT stockmarket and bring in ubers at the right time, a good rookie can do the same job as a value type.
One of the worst examples of a value pick was the euphoria around Brodie Smith bottoming out at 315-330k last year, everyone seemed to jump on him and had him at D6, he only averaged 72 I think, perfect D7 type but not a D6s butthole.
I dislike Higgins and Ward for walking out on the Dogs and not fulfilling their potential with us, but I've still picked them at their new clubs, heck even Griffen I started with last year in both games, massive campaigner he is.Gone with my original thought and brought in Jelwood. My only issue with this selection is that I can't stand him. I'll have to put my personal feelings aside.
Robbie Gray - Hammy - allegedly from Jay Clark
I'm thinking Dea myself.Good news for Sam Gray i hope!
GET BACK IN THE MIDFIELD U PLEB!
In other news, who would people trade first, Adams or Dea? Kinda struggling to decide who to offload first...
I'm thinking Dea myself.
I am giving him one more chance. But I was always going to !!Are people holding onto Sam Gray now?

Laird is the most consistent between him and Simpson. Fantasia is still an unknown prospect to me but he's looking solid. Can't wrong with Laird or Simpson, though.
