Round 6 Trades

My strategy of having Cox, McEvoy and Petrie in thbe rucks has payed of nicely so it's time to get Petrie into the fwd line so for me it's;

Richardson >> Lobbe and then Petrie fwd and Lobbe onto the rucks pine. Although it really doesn't matter I think Lobbe might get a game when fit as Port have to try something!!

That will leave me with only needing one of Tapscott, Darling, Matera, Prestia(DP), or Krak(DP) to play in my fwd line.

Would also consider getting Polec in but the rookie mid with the highest BE in my team is Curnow with 30 so really no point.

Will have about $270k in the bank after the above trade so with some clever trading I should be able to get Selwood and Swan in with only 3 trades over the next 2 weeks!!!

well ive pretty much been studying my dream team for the last 4 hours. Have come up with a plan to get me a team of 22 guns by round 13/14. Does anybody else obsess over their team too?

Long story short, I cant afford to trade out Krakouer and Richardson this week, or in the near future unfortunately. They are pretty much dead weight at this stage. Not going to burn any more trades on underperforming cash cows. As it is, ive allowed myself only 5 more trades for any LTI's for the remainder of the season.

Will just have to wait 1 or 2 more weeks for Duigan and Savage before making my first upgrade.

Audacious
, I've been looking at mine the same, will be dreaming about dt tonight.....making calculations in my head... at least it makes me a better mental mathlete :D I wanna do some trading already.... but I should wait til the teams are announced, cant wait to offload cam ****** richardson to jroooo.

Yeah likewise. As much as i wanna trade and upgrade i have to just leave Rich & Krak and hope they play again soon and go up more value. It's too little cash to be burning a trade on them and the ones making money is to much of a waste to let them go so early. No win situation atm. When in doubt just hold onto ya trades.

Already traded this week.

Ottens to McCauley
Krakouer to Wallis.

$430,400 in the bank but only got 18 trades left with 6 keepers needed and LTI's.

Bad trades.
No indicator Wallis will continue to get games, should have waited to se on him, plus his cash return will be low for being a sub for a while.
Ottens is a proven scorer (when staying uninjured) if he is not injured keep him (opps too late).

Decent amount of cash though.

Sometimes you need to pick the rookies before they ton up.

Ali Smith has been a ball magnet in the VFL, he's capable I reckon.

If he's named to play again I'll seriously consider getting rid of one of my cash cows early.

My mid cows aren't quite ready to be cashed in yet although I feel I have 1 back rookie that will and he should make enough money to go Harris-> Montagna.

Would leave me with:

Swan, Montagna, Selwood, Bartel, Boyd, Curnow on the field.

Problem is I'm not sure if Luke Thompson will cont to play, this week will be a partial lockout so we get to see the teams for Sat named?

^^^ assuming its gonna be extended benches for all but the thursday & friday night games today, prob final sat teams on friday

What are peoples thoughts on J Riewoldt? Can straight swap him in for Krakouer but it takes basically all my cash in the bank.

Will he end up being a keeper? Average only 62.8 but that incluces the 0 when he got knocked out so realistically more like ~80

Think its worth a punt, BE of only 46 this week too so its probably the cheapest he will get

I want JRoo in my final team hopefully.

But I have no idea where to get the money from.....

It'd be either Matera or Richardson coming out.

But I only have 18K in my bank.

Any suggestions to where I should get the money?

Team is here.

Thinking of doing my first 2 trades this week:

Bewick to Polec will be one, and I'm not sure of the other yet. Still got a day to think about it.

Not a true upgrade as such, but Krak Otten and Richardson are doing my head in.

I think Richardson could get dropped and Otten will probably take 12 months to get back to his best after his knee reco.

With NM likely to make changes and Pederson in good form, I'm goin to do the following...

Otten > Pederson
Richardson > J.Steven

Im thinking of going a similar way, trading Ottens to Pederson then Jake Spenser to Petrie, with a view of downgrading Krak to Lobbe the week after.

Thinking of bringing in Luke Thompson. Not sure who to downgrade yet. Is he likely to continue to get a game?

The only other defender I can think of is Pettigrew but don't rate him as a DTer obviously, would just be to free up cash ($124,000) but still a bit expensive.

Otten will probably be omitted this week, seems a bit flat since he's come back from his reco, Phil Davis will probably come back in for him. So Thompson will probably remain for the time being considering he's played pretty solid for his first two debut games.

I really want to get Chapman, I've got 181k and am thinking of Yarran > Chappy but I guess waiting till the next round wont hurt considering the Cat's bye..

Thanks.

I like trading and also wanted to get some cash to play with.

Thinking of ditching Bruce>Adock and Hurley>JRoo. Bad initial selections that haven't paid off at all.

Still leaves me with Krakouer, Richardson, Ottens but at least they aren't leaking money. At the very least will probably go Hurley>JRoo and maybe ditch Krakouer or Richo.

Wouldnt mind doing Krakeour -> Hibberd. This would eliminate a DP, however it would bring in another DP with Heppel. Even if hibberd doesn't play early on he will provide some cover, and should play relatively soon. I don't really see any great options in the midfield that release cash.

This will bring the bank to 462k, allowing me to bring in Fyfe and Chapman for Matera and Prestia next week. First positive being obviously a large spike in points but also it enhances bench cover before Gold coast have their second bye in round 9.

i have made a trade from c. richardson north melbourne to l. tapscott of melbourne. can anyone please tell me have i made an ok trade?!

Is it a really bad idea to trade Ryder to Sandi this week? Yes I know Freo have their bye. I always planned to do the trade the week after Freo's bye, but Ryder is falling in price, has a break even of 132 or something similar this week and has an estimated price fall of $18,000. I don't have an enourmous amount of cash to risk that extra $18,000. Have Smith on the bench and won't do the trade until I see Gold Coasts team.
Stupid move?

Essendon playing GC this week, so ryder should pump out a decent score, not saying he'll make 130, but you shouldnt lose too much more than 5-10k and you will score ~50 pts more this week. If you think the 10k is worth more than the 50 or so points you'll make, then do the trade.
