Very excited for this one!
Big Boy in the ruck mean's we've got more run through the middle and off the back line, Lewis back in (hopefully we can get a full game out of one of our KPF's), Minch out there for the first time- there's a lot to like this arvo for us.
Not sure how the result is going to go- but you'd think a few more players would realise their card is close to being drawn at this stage- hopefully we see a big resurgence.
Cannot wait to be shot of this ground though.

Very confident today, no ceglar and puopolo. The midfield is going to have a day out

Puopulo has been a warrior and got everything out of himself, I don't think it's the last we've seen of him and Clarko will call on him again.

Ceglar.... we're automatically better in his absence as it forces Big boy to play in the role where he is most damaging.

I think I would settle for something better than kicking 3 goals in a whole game of football. Would 4 be too much to hope for?

Oh for the good ol days of football. I once saw Peter Hudson kick 12 goals STRAIGHT against St Kilda @ Glenferrie Oval (10th of July 1971) way back when Noah was playing half back for the Jerusalem 2nds. Just days past the 49th anniversary of that event, maybe, just maybe one of our guys could finally step up, take a mark on the lead, go back and kick a goal...or two. Oh to dream.

A win today and knowing that we have the eventual inclusions of Breust, Scrimshaw and Impey would have me very excited.

Besides the 4 points today, this is what I am hoping to see:

1. A consistent four quarter performance
2. Scully, Wingard and O'Meara to have a ripper of a match to help solidify the trade ins.
3. Day to back up his performance from last week and Morris to show a little more
4. Defense to not be in shambles
5. The core midfield group to work better together

Huge match i think both teams are pretty evenly matched, both fwd lines struggle to kick a winning score.
For mine the efficiency going into the fwd 50 will win the game.
We can't allow Lever & May easy mark.
Timmy&Lewis will need to provide a contest. I will be watching how our midfield brings the ball in hopefully lower there eyes to help our fwds.
Big games from Scully,Hendo,Jags,Worps required.

I just noticed something. When was last time Hawthorn went into a game under Clarkson with Rioli, Breust and Puopolo all not playing?
I believe it was round 20, 2010. It was against Melbourne. We won.

We just need to win , doesn't matter how . It most likely won't be pretty but that doesn't matter.

Its amazing what a win does for confidence.
