Meh, who knows what’ll fall our way later in the season, especially with Covid and all. I’d rather be beating teams at their best rather then having free hits if we want to be competitive in September.
Id rather have as many free hits as possible, as I am an eternal pessimist who cares way too much about football, and some free hit wins make me temporarily happy. I wasn’t always this way. It’s the plight of being a Saint - I just can’t trust them. So give me free hits :p

But I know you’re right

Collingwood punching the air right now.

Haha, so true.

If anything i think they'll get worse as the year goes on. They had the massive underdog tag at the start as motivation and lots of top up players trying to play well enough to be noticed. I had tipped them to really dive this season before all the COVID and injuries hit.

I was the opposite, I thought they'd jump back up. That defensive line is elite and most of them missed a good portion of 2021. Howe, Moore, Maynard, Pendles and Quaynor with a few others running through. Grundy going down will hurt them though.

So long as it is legal, I do not care if the other mob got leprosy and all the things started detaching, so long as it ended in a flag.

You can only play what is in front of you at game time, be it competitive or a potato, and given we've had horse related blood spinning technicalities kick 3 goals in a 7 point deficit into last replay in AFL history against cashed up big 4 club where attrition & recovery is king, 14 goal beyond doubt drubbing v whomever would be grand.

As likely the AFL will detract 7 goals because sometime at half time a siren sounded which moved a clock 2 seconds backwards which means the other mob got 14 entries @ 2.7% accuracy which meant jumpers switched and our second half scores became theirs and vice versa. Because we all know the AFL accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any screw up on their end.

Did someone say somewhere that KAYO has a voucher regarding Big Footy to get $5.00 off membership rate or similar...what do you quote to acquire that if renewing KAYO membership? if anyone can help ......it would be appreciated..Thanks in advance if so! Or is that connected to SAINTS membership?

Haven't heard about it, but if it exists I'm interested

The reality of where we are at now is the new aim is top four. Pre-season I've no doubt it was just make the finals, but now the aim should be top four. The way we are playing, with personnel coming back, with wins on the board, the aim now is top four and from there have a crack at the big one.

That may change if and when we lose games or lose form

But with that in mind it's a must-win game.

I just don't see why we shouldn't be aiming to be a top four team right now, and in time I hope that aim becomes top two.

Paywalled, whats the story
Port Adelaide forward Charlie Dixon has taken aim at the Power’s longer than usual trip to Cairns, describing their scenario as a “bit of an absolute s**t show”.
The Power left Adelaide for their Saturday night clash against St Kilda at Cazaly’s Stadium on Thursday but didn’t arrive in Cairns until Friday evening.
The travelling squad had to spend Thursday night in Sydney and travelled straight to Cazaly’s Stadium for a captains run after arriving in Cairns.
The Saints have been in Cairns for two days and Dixon teed off at the situation.
“Then we are back at the hotel at around 8pm or 8.30pm and have a bit of a feed,” Dixon said on FIVEaa.
“It’s bit of an absolute s**t show at the minute.”

All things going as planned:
  • Ryder back tomorrow against Port.
  • Jones and Billings play VFL this week and return next week against Melbourne.
  • Marshall should also return next week against Melbourne.
  • Hunter Clark confirmed by Ratts to be on track to play VFL next week, and hopefully return against Geelong the week after.
Gotta be happy with that, all things considered.
If we get through Port unscathed we could be pretty well set to give Melbourne a run for their money.

B: Paton, Howard, Wilkie
HB: Sinclair, Battle, Webster
C: Hill, Steele, Billings
HF: Higgins, Marshall, Gresham
F: Butler, King, Membrey

Foll: Ryder, Crouch, Ross
Int: Jones, McKenzie, Wangmil, Long

Campbell - Marshall
Windhager - Jones
Wood - Billings

Then potentially Clark in for Wangmil or Long in the coming weeks

I thought the AFL were still using charted flights for the first part of the season?
