Suns played that pretty well I thought. Scrapped around the stoppage, then once they won it, looked to move the ball quickly. Was exactly where North tore us up in R1.

I thought we started falling into the trap sides do when they win a lot - expecting to win contests and get a bit lazy in supporting their teammates. To be fair, it's a good quality to have to have confidence in teammates to win a ball, but there needs to be a balance. I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of Starce's key message to the girls.

I think this is one of the reasons why Dawes is now so integral to the team. She only operates at 100% in contests and if Ally is being heavily tagged we could potentially be light on in and around the contest if it weren’t for Dawes barrelling in.

On that note I wonder if we are considering Isabella McDonough as a draft candidate out of the academy. She strikes me is the most natural inside/outside midfielder of this year’s academy crop.
