With round 6 now well underway it's time to start looking forward. Who will you target next week. A lot of rookies performing seriously well, so it's hard to consider cutting them yet, but there are some very good options popping up cheap. Dahlhaus and Westhoff lead the way for me at the moment, and both will be around $550K or less next week. What moves are you making ??

Westhoff at 530k.
Boak at a touch cheaper.
MacRae at a touch cheaper.

Think for me it's Boak.
And maybe a rookie. But might keep my port boys for at least another week.

Not sure as yet

Traded Clark and Cousins before, so that's two cows who were slowing down now gone

Duursma will be fine to hold for the next couple of weeks with that 90 rolling through

Butters maybe could go for Hayes/Young/Rotham if his BE is over 50

Drew will survive another week, but needs a solid score against the Pies to continue to make decent cash and pass 400k easily. He is looking like an easy upgrade to Westhoff in round 8 or 9 right now

Gibbons had a big score last week and was finally thrown into midfield, hope he continues to get midfield minutes for the foreseeable future, hold for the next few weeks too. Setterfield has more cash to make so holding him too

Scott maybe goes, Parker maybe too if he can't get a 60-70 to get his cash going again

Constable likely hold for a while still, likewise Hore and Ross who I just traded in the last two weeks

Scrimshaw  how much more can we eek out of him? Will need a decent score this week too to survive a few more weeks

Thinking in order of close to being maxed out/done

Round 7
Butters
Scott (not really done, but he's a waste not playing/scoring only 40s when playing)
Parker
Scrimshaw

Not looking at trading Burgess as yet, he can plug holes forward or back plus be used as a loopholer if not playing

might actually have to go dunkley to boak. fwd rookies scoring better FFS

Will look at breakevens before deciding on these Doggies kids who are the only real options this week in Hayes and Young

Butters has 60 + 57 in his last 2, so his BE will probably be around an achievable 40 again

Parker did more than enough today to hold for another week or two, will wait and see how Scrimshaw goes tomorrow.

Quite possibly no trades, seems like there's better rookies available in round 8. Ideally would like to upgrade this week but already made one last week, so not enough fat cows around to pull the trigger on as yet :(

I ain't rage trading Libba, absolutely pointless while there's still a heap of rookies around onfield. He gave away like 3-4 frees too tonight that 57 could've easily had been a 75-80 on another night

Absolutely sucked I copped all of Witherden, Libba, Sloane, Whitfield, Lloyd and Heeney this week at the same time (all of those scores were their worst or second worst for the season so far) which ruined my score for the week, but eh, it happens, another week this lot helps get me to 2300

Change of mind. Lachie Neale out for macrae...I’m bringing everyone down with me...next week macrae does his knee

If you are planning on trading Neale out (for anyone) then you deserve every thing you get. Absolute madness.

All the non owner's of Whitfield will probably need to make two downgrades over the next two weeks in order to get the cash to bring him in after round 8. Thats assuming he plays next week.

Encouraging him seems much more fun.

Non-owners absolutely kissed with the Whit corkie. He would have gone 120 without the corkie and his next month would have seen him maintain 120 avg at least. Instead of rising to become the most expensive player in a month's time, he will now be dropping in price! I had already conceded that I wouldn't be able to afford Whit before the byes but now things have changed. Next 2-3 weeks will be all about generating cash to pick up Whit and Crae as they bottom out. What a bonus for non-owners of both Whit and Crae....

Really feel for those with Whit especially if you captained him. Just remember he has delivered some great scores to start the year, including a huge 160 so a very good pick to start the year.

I traded Parker this week. I wasn't checking the scores but I was watching him dominate. Was surprised that he only ended up with 61....still worth holding him but I'm not so disappointed I traded him.

Butters' really slow start cost him this week, looks class and hopefully he matches it with Rozee (who I don't have) the next few weeks. Just needs one 80+ to kickstart his cash gen again and I'm sure he is capable of that.

Do you think Hayes did enough last night to hold his spot? He actually was one of the few who got into some space late in the game and had some shots on goal. I think I have to get him, and then one of Hately/Answerth in 2 weeks time. Or maybe I just pay up for Ross like I did for Hore...no idea what to do at the moment.

Libba is a big concern now but agree that I probably should hold for now. So glad I got at least one 100+ score from him on the week I got him in. I thought he could be M8 but will now have to wait to upgrade him. Hopefully he changes my mind and starts tackling like a beast again.

With Robbie Gray out, butters will look to move into his role I think.

Robbie wants him to be him.

Yep exactly. Maybe even downgrade the next 3 weeks if the rookies are there....then get Crae and Whit IN! Exciting times, have no doubt there will be a nasty twist in my plans. Maybe even starts this week with Cogs missing a week or two :$

6 weeks in and Macrae has had 1 excellent game and quite a few duds. Plus Bevo is screwing with everyone's roles adding even more frustration.

When exactly do you expect him to come good?

Good point...without titch this season, the top mids are going to be interesting...someone like a Taranto, fiorini and even Shiel are a good chance at being top 8 this season. Not many would even have 1 in their team currently.

He's had a 124 and 132, and no duds scores at all? I mean the low 100s are only "duds" if you paid top dollar to start him. His 91 this week was 20 more than any other player would have got if they had a similar game. He will definitely still be one of the top scorers this year and will be an absolute bargain in 3 weeks
