That would tear the heart out of St Kilda if they lost a close one to us on Sunday

Possibly. I reckon it will be another tight one but cannot tip the Saints until they win one. If the game was at Etihad, I would of been tempted to pick the Saints.

Good signs from them tonight. Desperately unlucky in the final five minutes after getting themselves right back into the contest. This result will either drive them further or the complete opposite and they'll struggle for the rest of the year. I'm backing them to turn it around at some stage. Finals could be nearly out of the picture now.

Geelong v Collingwood -

Who knows to be honest. Geelong are up and about and are finding life under Chris Scott a relief. Old Guns still firing, Bartel, Chapman, Podsiadly, Scarlett, Kelly, Corey and Enright still all doing their bit while the young guns of Selwood, Duncan and Menzel adding the spring in the step of the Cats. Cannot really go past how good Collingwood are though. Such a balanced side that knows how to play in the high intensity games. Swan hasn't been his normal 30+ possession self in the last 2 games. Expecting a big one from him. Collingwood by 11 points.

North Melbourne V Melbourne - Melbourne coming off a relieving win against the Crows with Brent Moloney and Mark Jamar really hitting their straps. Whereas North Melbourne have positive signs in their young kids of Harper, Cunnington and Atley. I think this will also be a very close game. I just think North Melbourne's experience of Harvey and Petrie and few other old heads may be enough to get them over the line. North Melbourne by 14 points

Adelaide V Gold Coast - Adelaide coming off an absolute shocker against the Demons and Gold Coast rebounding off the biggest hiding in 5 years, knocking off their cross town rivals Brisbane. You would surely think Adelaide will get up at home. But wouldn't be surprised if the young Suns get up in a close one...again. Adelaide by 26 points

Brisbane V Essendon - I am tipping us with zero confidence. It was great to see us fight out a win against a much improved West Coast side, but honestly we didn't play our best football and still managed to get the 4 points. These are the type of games we have to win, if we are going to be top 4-6 material. A win interstate is desperately needed for our confidence. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Brisbane come out all guns blazing that without a doubt are being beaten from pillar to post in the media. Jobe Watson and Tom Bellchambers are the ones that the Lions have to limit input if they are to win the game. If we are fair dinkum, we should win by 10 goals, but I'm not that confident. Essendon by 17 points

Sydney V Port Adelaide - Sydney were fantastic against the Western Bulldogs. Older heads stepped up in Goodes and O'Keefe leading them to victory. Port Adelaide were far from disgraceful last week against a genuine contender in Hawthorn. Losing the run and gun of David Rodan may hurt the Power though. Sydney by 28 points

Hawthorn V St.Kilda - Two of the more slower teams in the competition so i'm seeing this game as a real contested hard footy contest. The likes of Hodge, Mitchell, Sewell and Shiels vs the likes of Goddard, Dal Santo, Montagna and Armitage who is really starting to show some good signs. This is a real hard game to tip to be honest. Sorry St.Kilda but Hawthorn by 8 points

Western Bulldogs V Richmond - Danger Danger Danger for the Bulldogs. Tigers are in red hot form. Young talent of Batchelor, Conca and Vickery really showing good signs of the future. With Deledio, Cotchin, King, Nahas and Riewoldt all playing consistent good footy. Really exciting stuff for the young tigers. Doggies on the other hand are really struggling. No Hall, Higgins, Lake in the side. Senior players aren't stepping up the plate and that's a big problem. This is a big chance for Richmond to take a big scalp and lead into Dreamtime At The G with masses of confidence and a huge crowd against the Bombers. Richmond by 22 points.

West Coast V Fremantle - Seeing the Eagles up close last week, they are that much of a different side from last year it's astonishing. Last year they were missing targets, not putting in the hard efforts and not supporting their teammates, but this year is a completely different story and as I said I thought we were very lucky to take the 4 points last week. Saying that Kerr, Cox, Natinaui, Darling, Shuey, Priddis, Rosa and Embley all in terrific form. Fremantle had a dark day last week laying down against the Tigers making the game what should of been much closer than what the final margin suggested if it hadn't of been for the last 10 minutes where the Dockers completely shut down and the Tigers run all over them. Pavlich, Mundy and Sandilands standouts again showing good form and with young Tiprat mk II, Hayden Ballantyne likely to miss with a hamstring is a big loss for Fremantle. I'm tipping a bit of an upset here with West Coast taking the chocolates. West Coast by 22 points
