Just had a look at a few top 10 teams, average of 4 rooks on field.....interestingly the guy in 7th has 8 rooks on field but running a very strong midfield with Walsh at M8. 4 rooks in Def and 3 Fwd but with all the big dogs as premos

I look at those teams and just wonder how it was even possible?

I'd like to think their cash gen will run low but they're already ~800-900k of value ahead of me so the damage is done really. Not much can be done to make that ground up now.

Starting with Macrae/Dunkley and missing Boak probably my only glaring mistake too. Just really weird there can be such a massive difference in only 7 weeks (~over $100k extra cash gen per week..!?!)

Going the traditional Downgrade/Upgrade route depending on who is named this week

Need to make the Treloar vs Gaff choice. This will give me a very strong top line of my midfield with Cripps, Treloar/Gaff, M.Crouch and Merrett
yeah my plan is to the downgrade upgrade trades from here to the byes, baring any more spuds......

In regards to Treloar V Gaff, depends if you want to chase a POD one is 18% and the other at 7%. Treloar the highest

Reckon most of the top 10 had Boak, Sheed, Whitfield, Libba and Gawndy. I only had Grundy out of that lot. So having Macrae, Dunkley, Dev Smith, Brayshaw and English has cost me nearly 1k in points difference, plus around 400k in cash gen v's loss. I have NFI how to make up the difference but have been working madly at maximising my playing rooks and cash gen. I still have Smith and Brayshaw to deal with.

Trelol will score well with Adams out. Gaff seems the long term keeper out of the two, but who TF knows

Hinkley plays his favourites. If your on his outer circle then the whole team needs to be injured before you get a chance. Unfortunately for him, Trengove doesn’t hold one of Hinkleys golden tickets. Billy frampton is in the same boat even after multiple 4/5 goal hauls in the SANFL
Hate comments like this. Frampton is a back up Ruckman and we currently have TWO Ruckman playing.. despite kicking goals for two games I'd rather persist with Marshall

Anyone trading danger?

Thinking danger + libba to Ross + Baker who still have cash to make and should play out until the byes. Gives me lots of cash where I can get danger + Whitfield back easily once they bottom out.

I’d rather frampton comes in for Westhoff. Need someone with some aggression and someone who actually can kick a few goals. Westy has been absolutely shocking this year bar rnd 1 and constantly misses absolute sitters. My patience is done with him and frampton I believe would provide more to the team structure over westy. Agree Marshall must keep playing though.

Ideally the one I don't get should be Walsh's upgrade during the byes.
Is it just me or is Macrae not a must have this year, not hitting the same ceiling he was last year
Walsh has to be in until his bye, pretty much guaranteed til then, we'll have a good idea then about who to bring in. Pretty much the same with Tiges rooks. I'm thinking about building a bit of a war chest for those rnd 14 rook upgrades

anyone looking at Mcluggage - 101 from last 3 for 600k with a BE of 65
3rd season, #3 draft pick, ticks a lot of boxes. I pegged him as a 95ave for the year, but didn't feel that was enough to get a gig in my team. I think there are alternatives with greater scoring potential.

I think I'm going to put my neck out there this week and take a risk.

Have a bad feeling Danger will miss a week. They'd be crazy to risk him.
And Ziebell seems to have a new role.

So Danger > Ziebell
lets me go Libba > Yeo.

Yeo didn't have much of a preseason, so he is only working into it now. He came home strong last year, and our mids have been totally crap so far this year. If the Eagles want to be a genuine flag contender it's going to start in the mids. Yeo/Gaff/Shuey/Redden/Sheed need to lift and they know it.
