Round 9 Tips and Crowd Expectations

Giants grand final coming up,they will not play like a Sunday brunch like they did against Collingwood, that's for certain.

What rule will the umpires invent against Richmond this week?
If richmond cant get over the giants in current form with half their team out and have a fourth loss in a row they have no one to blame but themselves

Geelong v Western Bulldogs, Kardinia Park, 19pts, near-capacity(sellout) - at the cattery was nearly enough to tip Geel, Dogs still way off their best
St Kilda v Sydney, Docklands, 12pts, 29k - I'm not sold on St Kilda at all, easily go either way
Greater Western Sydney v Richmond, Showgrounds, 51pts, 9k
Brisbane v Adelaide, Gabba, 78pts, 17k
Collingwood v Hawthorn, MCG, 16pts, 72k - for the first time in many years, hard to tip this match-up
Essendon v West Coast, Docklands, 38pts, 39k, Eagles might struggle on the road but are that much better
Melbourne v North Melbourne, MCG, 41pts, 27k - for a long time Dees were shit and we were good to mediocre; now we're shit, they're mediocre
Fremantle v Carlton, Subiaco, 64pts, 39k

It will be lucky if 64 points are scored between both teams

Teaching them how to defend a lead for 21 seconds?

Hawks will be missing Stratton, Frawley, Rioli, Birchall, O'Meara and Ceglar and will have a very raw backline.

But then again the Pies have no key forwards, so who needs a backline right?

Collingwood couldn't beat Hawthorn from 2011-2016 despite Franklin, Rioli, Hodge, Lake and a few other key players missing some of those games during that nine game winning streak.

Thankfully Collingwood has no forward-line so it might no matter this week, whilst at the other end we've still got Roughead, Gunston, Breust, Puopolo, O'Brien and co.

I reckon we can still beat them even with our injuries. Collingwood have struggled against Hawthorn even when they were at full strength.

I think this game will tell us if the Saints are legitimate force in the finals.

Kind of a no win game for us. Lose and we aren't a good side, win and it's only against the swans who aren't playing well this year.

I think we will win but don't think it will improve our perception as a contender. Next two against dogs and Adelaide over there, we will know a lot more about where we stand.

Win one of those and i will start getting excited about our chances

Dogs will be interesting. I will watch that one. They are all worth 4 points though.

Liked, some teams falling away which leaves the door open for Richmond.
Hated,Richmonds first three quarters but some more invented frees by the umpires.
Learnt, #weareshanewarnesgrandfinal :D

Not if it's a comfy win like the Hawks and BL matches. You can only beat who you play, but if you are putting away the weak sides that will be certainly be noted!
And don't get ahead of yourselves! (Though the WB and Adel games should be great)

Im sure Port Adelaide will beat the Bye cos the bye isn't a top 8 side....

Are you suggesting that The Bye will beat you 64 - 0 in the first quarter?? :$
Im suggesting Port haven't beaten anyone in the top 8. but hey when you get given a fixture where you play carlton, lions 2 times and the suns in the first 12 weeks of the year no wonder you are where you are on the ladder..

With our fixture, you'd be bottom of the ladder. You can't perform against shit teams.
