Round 9 tips and crowds?

I haven't watched much of Adelaide this year, but i would be very surprised if we lose this one.
Season over if we do.

They don't have Walker which really hurts their structures.

We weren't really lucky to be in the top 8.
IIRC we were 2 wins clear of the teams in 9th and 10th.
I mean as in deserving of being there considering you lost the first final by 96 points.
But by the same logic earlier Richmond should beat Hawthorn easily considering they belted them last year.
But everyone most people know thats not how it works.

No offense but if we can't win comfortably this week we should be kicked out of the league.
I look at Adelaide's list and I just can't see where the goals will come from, without any key forwards of note, and against a good defense led by a starring Thompson.
Although I realise you've kicked a few goals in recent weeks against St. Kilda and GWS, but they were gimmes.

Now watch us lose horribly.

Oh, god, just wait for Essendon, Hawthorn and West Coast people on BF to start calling for this if North "only" win by 5 or 6 goals. Or worse still, in the unlikely circumstance our boys don't win at all.

Collingwood vs. Sydney 3pts 53k
Port Adelaide vs. Geelong 17pts 23k
GWS vs. West Coast 44pts 12k
St Kilda vs. Western Bulldogs 13pts 31k
Brisbane vs. Carlton 5pts 14k
Richmond vs. Essendon 37pts 78k
Hawthorn vs. Gold Coast 28pts 35k
North Melbourne vs. Adelaide 38pts 32k
Fremantle vs. Melbourne 35pts 31k

It's a fair question but I could see us kicking ~15 goals to win (esp at ES) with Jenkins, Lynch and Dangerfield kicking multiple goals and then a spread of others who are on average good for a goal a game (Vince, Porplyzia, Douglas, Kerridge). Think Goldstein v Jacobs is critical and whilst it may not be a great round I think this is a massive match.

I simply highlighted that after beating you last year in the same game, you have gone backwards, and we have improved. Simple logic would suggest we should win this game.

We beat you comfortably last year in the same game when you had Walker and Tippet. You are a worse team now, and we are better.

It's only logical.
Adelaides midfield s**** all over Norths though, Danger could quite easily bob up and kick 4 or 5 with the combination of Jenkins, Lynch, Douglas and Vince all bobbing up with a couple of goals a piece aswell, real danger game for Norf...

Adelaides midfield s**** all over Norths though,...

Using facts, please back up that statement.

Danger could quite easily bob up and kick 4 or 5...

He's only kicked 4 in a game this year. And i'd say he's only kicked 6 once or twice in his career. So the term "easily" is probably a bit much.

real danger game for Norf...

On that we can agree. Not picking up any of Pies, Cats, Swans, Hawks or Eagles means we can't afford to drop any games for the rest of the year where we are favourites if we want to make finals. Tough ask.

Well Danger and Thompson are both better then any mid North has and I think most would agree. Sloane arguably as well altough him and Swallow are at a similar level. Then its its the likes of Wells, Cunnington, Bastinac and Ziebell against Van Berlo, Douglas, Vince etc.

Ziebell and Sloane are quite similar, but compare the goals between danger and swallow and then compare the difference in disposals between Wells and Thompson. Adelaides midfield> Norths midfield

Nah.

Maybe Dangerfield, but not Thompson. He plays a very similar role to Swallow who is underrated by most on bigfooty. Furthermore, a midfield is not comprised of two players. Cunnington is starting to become a really good inside midfielder, he averages something like seven clearances a game. That's crazy numbers for a kid his age. He's starting to become one of the best players from that draft.

You're comparing Swallow, Wells, Cunnington, Ziebell, Bastinac to Dangerfield, Thompson, Sloane Van Berlo, Douglas, Vince, I honestly don't see that much difference to be honest, especially in Victoria. I also think that North has Harvey, who as an outside player is better than any of Adelaide's outside players. If Harvey gets his usual 25 touches, and a goal, expect Adelaide to lose. I think Adelaide's midfield is a tad overrated. Beyond Dangerfield and Thompson, it falls away in quality to an extent, and if you manage to put a good tagger on Dangerfield, they can struggle.

I also like North's forwards better than Adelaide's.

That said, a few North fans have been a bit stupid in assuming this is a solid win for North, they should start favourites though. North like playing at the docklands as well, where their quick game style works really well. I'm going to tip North by about 22 with a fair degree of certainty.

You're not comparing like for like, you should be comparing Swallow to Thompson.

What this guy said. That stat comparison was cherry picking at its finest.

I'd also argue some of the Crows stats may have been boosted by playing GWS, a privilege we are yet to encounter.
