Was just wondering what people consider the best rucking combinations.........

-Do you lash out and choose two premium ruckmen ie Cox and Sandilands
-Choose 1 premium and 1 medium ie Cox and Kruezer
-Choose two mediums and re direct cash elsewhere ie Tippett and Kruezer

Would be interested to hear others ruck combos also

i find brad ottens is to injury prone to be considered tippett/kreuzer/hille are all better options imo

One Premium, One keeper, Jessie White & Robbie Warnock.

Probably spending a few more $$'s than I need to but I just don't want to waste the trades. White & Warnock are $430k between them and I reckon both will play all year and improve with both being potential bolters.

he means using the new player swap rule for dual players it means he can have tippett in the fwd line and lobbe in the ruck and since they're both rck/fwd he can swap them and have tippett in the ruck to cover without using a trade

Bingo. If Hille goes down with a short term injury, I can rotate Tippett from my forward line to the ruck and use one of my forward line bench players to cover Tippett's position.

no he can swap tippett with lobbe whose a rookie priced rck/fwd and tippett start on the field and move the inured player to the bench

Rucks are very underrated in super coach

There very hard to trade for late in the year with the cash being directed into the midfield forward line most of the time

I dont wnat to have to make a trade in the rucks this year so i tried to go for blokes i think wont get injured i also grabbed Warnock because i think he might play most of the year in the ruck and be a nice Cash Cow come late in the year or a good back up

My rucks are

Jolly
Seaby
Warnock
Trengrove

A lot of people seem to be giving Cox the wide berth- too many injury clouds?
That will come back to haunt them. Cox is a lock and always one of the 1st picked in my side.Head and shoulders above any other ruck and worth every cent.We are still 7 weeks away from the start of the season so its too early to discount him yet even if he has had some injury problems. He played a fair chunk of the season last year with a busted foot and still scored well so i will still take my chances with him atm

What are peoples thoughts on Wayde Skipper/

Big bodied mature aged player that may be able to step straight into senior football from round 1. A "cash cow" on the bench so to speak. I think he may be a good option for me.

Interesting to hear other peoples thoughts on him, just remeber he is at a bargain price of $101,400.

Absolute hack of the highest order. Your better off taking your chances with Trengrove, Lobbe or even Warnock

What's the news on Ace Cordy this year? How has he been travelling/will he get game time? I currently have him listed as a reserve after all the hype last year, but i have heard doughnuts this year on him?

With all the question marks over the premium rucks for different reasons have seriously been considering a

Sandilands

and

Warnock
Lobbe
Skipper

combination, and playing one of the bargain rucks while I wait for the premium rucks to show their worth.

Allows me to stack the rest of the squad, especially with the cheap backs falling over like nine pins.

Can't see him being too much of a "cash cow". He might get some games and provide a bit of coverage for injuries, however. I suppose if he's held onto for most of the year and gains 100K, then he's not a bad trade in come the finals.

Currently, I have the following:

M.Clark
R.Warnock
M.Lobbe (FWD)
W.Skipper

I also have D.Petrie in the forward line who can be swapped into the ruck. This will cost me for the first two weeks, considering that he'll be missing through suspension (as will L.Franklin for the first week, who I also have in my team!). However, I think Petrie will also give some good ruck coverage and is probably a bit of an under-rated option. I think he might be a more consistent scorer than K.Tippett for a RUCK/FWD option.
