Wow, looks great cant wait. Lets just hope it doesn't burn me again with the shithouse gameplay.

We can only hope right

i liked the first one mainly because it was a rugby game and it was the newest one of the next gen consoles yes it had its problems but call a spade a spade it was a rugby game and when it comes down to it thats what it was like i said granted it wasnt the best game going around.

But looking at the new game oh my god it looks great graphically and all the features one can only hope that this is the direction both visually and feature and hopefully ( depending on how the gameplay in this game goes ) that the next afl game wil go in.

hopefully ross reads and posts in this thread

I think the main thing to take out of this for us AFL fans is that all of these features will clearly be in the next AFL game.

Personally the biggest improvements seem to be the graphics, the little touches with the lighting and overall player models seem to be vastly improved of that from RLL (and AFL Live).

This picture here is absolutely stunning. And the picture of the players in the rain with all the mud on their outfits, that's just as good.

Also liking the graphical improvements in the player creator, there's more realism to the look of the guy, which was already pretty good in AFL Live.

There really seems to be a ton of lighting improvements all round that I'm impressed by.

I don't know if I'll pick it up, but the signs pointing towards RLL 2 are outstanding.

Only problem is that Andrew Voss remains, worst commentator ever.:(

It looks great but the pictures most likely arent from ingame play (I hope so but yeah)

There's no real reason to believe it's not. Ross has stated before that they don't touch up their shots or use anything fake, at least for AFL Live that was.

This picture here... wow just wow. Its unique too like the mud stains arent exactly the same on each jersey, the sweat etc. It may sound silly but its the little things like this that make me look forward to this.

Even the crowd looks decent

just found the thread, thanks gareth.

These screenshots are from in-game, but from a closer camera than you would use of course.

The player sharing means that any opposition custom players/teams you meat online are automatically added to your list for you to take as you please - I am really hoping to see some classic teams like the 1981 Eels and the like go viral :D

As said elsewhere, this lifts the bar for all aussie sports games, it is good news for everyone.

Looks really good, the detail and realism of the graphics has improved so much on the first installation. Interested to hear if the game will have dynamic shadows (that is, as the game goes on do the shadows get longer as the day goes by). I really like the show above and also the far back shot as they really show a great level of detail and also some beautiful weather and crowd graphics.

I like the idea of player sharing however I can see people mimicking other players custom sides. Hypothetically Ross, if you were to make a game on the other popular Australian sport would the graphics and feature list be similar, hypothetically of course? :)

Also, will there be a demo? I'm often on the fence with these games as to whether I'd enjoy it or not.

And finally, update your website :p

As if I could comment on that... if nothing else, these things should be the minimum requirement of any other aussie sports game :)
Sorry, no demo.
yeah, our website needs some work... I know it :(

Thanks for answering my question on the other thread, Ross :) . Is it at all possible you will do what you did with AFL Live and take the game to some EB Stores before release and have a public demo? If you do, please come to Brisbane :)

Come on Ross a bit of info for the afl fans you know you want too ;)

I think it's fair enough to say the graphics will be similar though (going by your comment about this being what every sport game should look like) and just because well, why wouldn't they be similar?

Cant wait!

Great news......congrats Ross.

Is there a more detailed release date.....before the Grand Final....?

That would be up to Tru Blu, I know they read here so you never know :)

Another Rugby game? aren't there already to many?

- Rugby League LIVE (PS3,X360)
- Rugby World Cup 2011 (PS3,X360)
- Wallabies Rugby Challenge (PS3,X360)

And all us AFL fans get is a 2012 $14.99 DLC update that was not even that good.
