Pluggeroo, my mail is that Sinclair went to your club again around Round 10 this year and said he wanted to sign on for 2010 and 2011. He was told that all positions would be advertised, he then seeked out Brendon Roberson who manages coaches, to test the water with several clubs. As late as Tuesday I am of the belief there has been 7 clubs interested in him. If Darnum had done the deal earlier they would have their man, but I know that the offers he has had are very good ones. My money is on him not even applying for Darnum's job.

From what i have heard there were alot of players and people around the club were unhappy this year. I am not sure whether the club would offer him the position again.
Tough after just winning a premiership!

I think Algar has unfinished business at Yarragon!!!! Would love to see him come back as coach and get that elusive flag. I know a lot of players who played under him talk him up and would like him to get back to the club!
Alger to join mick dillon you would think,or can Alger go 1 more ??

What would they have to be unhappy about? They won their first premiership in 50 years. The only players that would be unhappy would be the ones that weren't good enough to make the side. Coaches always have 'unhappy' players as they think they maybe a little better than they really are. And I know that Sinclair doesn't coah to make friends, he coaches to get results, and more often than not he does that. You wouldn't be one of thos 'unhappy' players would you?

Thats where your wrong bigdukes. Its a lot of the better players that arent happy. I know several werent very impressed with his tactics, or lack of, in the round 18 loss to Cora Lynn.

In other news... Surkin has agreed to a new contract which will see him jump on board the obese fuelled program of "supersize me" in ambition of puttin on 20kgs over the pre season. This will then mean he will not be able to continue wearing tight black pants that push his testies back into his small frame in an ambition of being able pick up the footy off the deck with being thrown around like a rag doll... haha

That maybe so stinger, but I would of thought those tactics went a long way to enable them to win a flag. They were playing Cora Lynn 3 times in a month, Toner showed them everything in round 18, he only had davey and collins up his sleeve which sinclair would of known about. He rested Olney that day in the last and for memory I don't think he come back on, how well did Olney play in the finals? I watched round 18, second semi and grand final and from an ex coaches point of view, I thought he coached very well, particularly with the Hoskin move in the finals. What would you rather win round 18 or a flag, silly argument really.

chandler doesnt like him, told me so halfway through the second quarter

He probably doesn't like him, not all players like their coach for all different sorts of reasons. But ask yourself this, what the hell was a player doing talking to an opposition player during a grand final about not liking his coach? I know he played a very good game too, but what the hell was he thinking? May also want the coaching gig at Darnum too, did you think of that?

Hora and Sheen missed round 18 for Cora Lynn too bigdukes, so I am wouldn't say toner showed them everything. That is 4 or their top 5 or 6 that they had missing in that game so hard to show everything.

As for the Hoskin move, he had 3 possessions in the Grand Final, not exactly match winning player.

You obviously didn't understand what I was saying about showing them everything. I didn't say who was in and out! Of course Sinclair knew about Hora and Sheen. I'm talking positionally, McEwan, Dowsett, Saunders, M. Davey. What Toner did in dropping guys back in front of Michael and Bergles, Sinclair never used those type of tactics until finals, Toner wouldn't of been expecting that, also Olney dropped back which he didn't do in round 18. Hoskin was obviously put in the side in a tagging role in both finals on Bradshaw, I would assume Sinclair would of been happy with Hoskin getting one touch as Bradshaw had bugger all in the second semi and was not damaging in the big dance! At the end of the day you can say what you like he coached the premiership!

Also from what I understand there will be an influx from Doveton to Bunyip irrespective of what happens in this weeks Casey grand final, more from Narre going to Dusties and Cora Lynn and this will only improve this league again in 2010. But does anyone know what the point system is going to be, is 33, 32, 31 or 30 per game?

Yeah you are right big dukes.. Bunyip has their presentation night tonite and a few names are expected to be dropped as to who is coming. Exactly what we need a couple of older experienced players to go with the young running team that is there already.

Good stuff chuck, played under Henwood many moons ago and if he has half a side he will do wonders with them! Let me know the names that you here tonight. The big one I have heard is Hendy.

Bradshaw still had more an impact than Hoskin even if he did not play well. I am seriously not sure was his idea of tagging Bradshaw. Yes, he is a handy player but he is not someone you would bring a specialised tagger in to play on. Was just a wierd decision in my opinion.

Bradshaw had caused them headaches in the past apparently, I rate him he runs hard and gets alot of it, if you run a tag and nullify him, it is a win for your team. By brining in a specialised tag, he can be used on anyone that casues you trouble and Cora Lynn have a few, Ingram, R. Davey, Kimber, Hughes to name a few. In finals Surkin if you have coached in them, it is very important to stop opposition major playmakers, if Cora Lynn had of tagged Cann and Chandler they may have won a flag!

who cares. he played in a senior flag.
good on him.

bigdukes i hope you dont back darnum next year. one very annoying man.

I will wait to see the odds goodie, but if I can get good odds on Bunyip, they may be my bet. Must have to thank your pres at Darnum, didn't muck around paying me my dividends. Who is one very annoying man?
