If the story is BS what do people believe happen.

Out of all the people in the world who could be camping there RH had a history of gun accidents… GL wouldn’t have known this at the time of the deaths unless told.

If it was so random who’d never been near guns then it would make it unbelievable but the fact about him confronting hunters previously makes it somewhat plausible

Had a long chat to my lawyer brother on the w/e (he’s in Melbs). Said he will be gobsmacked if he doesn’t go down for both.

Thought the Judges direction was absolutely bang on.

But as we discussed, none of us are in a jurors mind, singularly or as a group.

I actually could accept the story if it weren't for the reasons and process about RH taking and loading the firearm.

I feel like Lynn went too far on his story and the Prosecution went too far on theirs. I suspect what actually happened is somewhere in the middle.

Two strong willed men had a disagreement, neither backed down, it escalated until one of them was dead. IE not an intentional death.
Then he killed Ms Clay to cover his tracks.

Did I miss something. RH had a history of gun accidents? Or do you mean his nephew was killed by his friend with a gun?

No. He had a relative killed in a hunting accident a long time ago which is ****ing horrid.

RH had limited firearms experience. Sounds like he handed them in during the amnesty. This fact is being over reported.

I might be speaking for myself but I would not consider RH being experienced with firearms at all. Total red herring.

Pretty much my exact thoughts except I'm even willing to accept CC was shot accidentally and RH was killed in excessive self defence.

Don't forget this is all apparently in direct response to "loud music".

Seriously, could you even make up a story that makes GL less responsible if you tried?

Just as I don't think GL would start randomly murdering people I don't believe RH would randomly start stealing firearms. Some very important details are not being shared IMO.

Something is amiss. Anyone that owns firearms and or hunts (which you clearly do) knows this story is just a fabrication.

I’m just surprised that some of the details weren’t drilled harder because he’d come apart in seconds on those details.

This is sort of where I’m at. I just can’t get my head around the burning of the bodies though. I know some people have said that people sometimes go to extremes to cover crimes up but I can’t imagine that even if you just wanted to cover it up, you could do this, not all night.

Whatever happened Carol was killed cowering behind a truck in her pjs hoping she wouldn’t die.

And this campaigner blew her head off with a shotgun.

Even just "why didn't you leave the back doors closed and locked whilst pumping music from the front"

C'mon now, any half intelligent person with a basic understanding of risk assessment would have considered this, secure firearms are always front of mind for all shooters I know.

It's not like GL has admitted to being under the influence of substances or extreme emotion clouding judgement.

It’s outrageous. There’s no way his story about storing his firearms is true. Does not happen.

Like others have said who knows how one reacts in that situation.
I just keep thinking of movies like Fargo or Very Bad Things, Shallow Grave etc. where people get caught up hiding crimes.
Actually there we quite a few movies like this in the 90s, I think there was another one about a death at a dinner party?

Your gut feelings are there for a reason

It's a slippery slope, you might find yourself watching Trainspotting or Lock Stock too and dusting off some old Massive Attack and Blur records

OMG stop man that’s my entire 20s

Some Malaysian research, but nevertheless interesting above concealment motives

“The qualitative data obtained via the in-depth interviews revealed two important themes for the murderers to commit murder concealment acts: (1) fear of discovery and punishment and (2) blaming others “

Double soft case gun bag's are lockable with a padlock. See link. https://www.berettaaustralia.com.au/gamekeeper-evo-double-gun-case-140cm/

Another good pick up re having plenty of space as a single camper with trailer attached. In fact the significance of the trailer is huge when you think if he didn't have it what would he have done with the bodies? Put them in the car? And so why did he take the trailer? Humm.. Surely not.....

If he had no trailer the only option would be to use their vehicle to move the bodies. Come back and get his own vehicle afterwards.

Long post, but I’ve been thinking about the specific details about the music that he (allegedly) played.

I think I read somewhere that when asked what music he was (allegedly) playing (with the express purpose of trying to annoy his neighbours) he couldn’t recall.

Can any of our court-attending members remember this line of questioning?

If this is so, then it’s intriguing that he can’t remember this detail. Is it perhaps because there was no music playing?

While not particularly relevant to how the deaths may have occurred, a series of questions related to the details around the music would be completely unexpected and possibly catch him off guard.

It would have been an interesting test to see how he might have answered these questions - whether his demeanour might have changed, whether he could supply specific details or claim to not recall.

Not recalling would be a sharp contrast with the claims to remember other details about that evening; down to RH/CC pyjamas/bare feet and conveniently the precise manner in which he held the weapon? Which is obviously important for his case.

Yet not the soundtrack to this whole saga? Is this likely/feasible?

I’m wondering these for a few reasons. If trying to annoy neighbours he might choose a specific genre? EDM? Aussie Pub Rock? Heavy Metal? Drum’n’Bass? Or even a favourite artist.

With such attention to detail with the rest of the story, how could he not remember the music?

It’s a 90s Patrol, would he still be playing a selection of scratched up CDs on those dusty roads? I’m guessing not, because if they were in a condition anywhere near that of the Patrol that would make for some sketchy listening.

There’s no internet connection for streaming, so the only other way to listen is via music pre-loaded to a device. Did he do this?

I’m a details person and can certainly remember music playing at certain events, even parties, restaurants etc so would definitely remember the soundtrack to such a pivotal evening.

Perhaps others are not so much into music or recall details about such things?

Do others have thoughts on what could be obscure musings?

I've wondered this too. Though, I'm comfortable that he may not remember that detail.

I recall certain music being played at certain times/occasions.
I’d think that if GL was purposely playing music to be annoying that night, he’d have some recollection unless he’s blocked it out.
I don’t believe that he was playing music at all though, unless this is part of his story that is true because when you think about it, Lynn must have expected confrontation by going out of his way to play the music loud to annoy Hill.
There’s nothing better than sitting around the bush tv (fire) and enjoying the peace, so it would have been a good way of annoying Hill and starting a confrontation.
