Dermot just said ,"this cannot be a case that falls into the worst category"..... if this isn't what in the blazes does ?
When it comes to unlawful killing ,what Brett Button did melts into insignificance by comparison and he just got 32 years, what a ridiculous statement....
I feel so much empathy for the loved ones of that pair-put yourself in that position.

Let's hope Dermot is on Greg's kill list.! I know he is only doing his job but who in their right mind would try and downgrade a case of unlawful killing over noise or power or getting his way. Lynn is up there with the worse IMO. Prediction's for sentence.?

Seems he forgot to mention the lack of remorse or any understanding of the affects on the victims and their loved ones.

Sentence? Well I once met a man who had been convicted of murdering 10 people, he served less than 8yrs but thankfully times have changed, Lynn most likely will get life.

He needs a long sentence purely on what he did with the bodies of BOTH Clay and Hill. Disgusting piece of work.

A bit of background info about GL-

Born in 1966 in Penrith Hospital, he was raised in the Blue Mountains in NSW and educated at Lismore High School.

He has two sisters and a brother who live in southeast Queensland, and a mother who lives in a NSW nursing home.

Convicted of 10x charges of murder? And got 8 yrs?
Who is this person?
No body in Victoria has been convicted of that number in Victoria.

The current "record' is held jointly by Paul Haigh and Julian Knight with seven murders apeice.

Haigh was convicted of 6 murders but committed another in prison. apparently to remain "top dog" in the prison hierarchy.

Saw him once in Court whilst he was on the dock; he was an evil, scary looking candidate. The ex prison welfare officer who I was accompanying introduced me to him, hopefully he forgot my name

the guy who killed four kids when he was drunk, drugged up and speeding got 15 years. pretty soft.

I get the sentiment. But that’s his job. Makes me sick reading and hearing the defence. I think it’s done. He’s cooked, Hail Marys from here on in. And in the event he gets off or a retrial or whatever every single person on this planet knows what a piece of shite he is.

I'm not up on the SA Judicial, Parole or Corrections system and their history and the various links I could find doesn't explain how he could be released after 8 years, other than he was released on parole after 8 years. after being sentenced to a commuted sentence of life imprisonment

In Victoria, a release under parole conditions prior to the satisfication of their Non-Parole Period or by effluxion of time on their sentence is by Exercise of the Royal Prerogative of Mercy, with is made by the Governor in Council (essentually a political decision)

Was this decision made by a Court, a Parole Board or political decision?

I’ve no idea but I believe someone did a podcast. He was a prisoner at YLP (Yatala Labour Prison) and a trustee. I was a teenager and recall thinking he was so ordinary almost benign. It was the late 70’s, the judiciary was interesting to say the least.
