That defense was ridiculous.

Oh jesus that was intense. I can't believe we won that. Our tactics were bad, Cooper was shocking, but our defence was incredible and Pocock's performance is one of the greatest I've seen from a Wallaby.

Well, Sth Africa sure blew that one, but you have to pay credit to the Wallabies defense which was amazing.

Australia have to improve on that performance or the Kiwis will demolish them. Australia was extremely average and are so lucky to have won that South Africa dominated 90% of that game.

Dave Pocock, you are the ****ing man. What a game. Probably matched in influence by Burger on the other side but Pocock was incredible.
Quade...honestly. Still yet to play a meaningful game against the Boks or AB's....wanted him off with 20 to go. Move Berrick to 10 and Fainga'a to 12. Worst game I've ever seen from him.
Great games from Elsom, AAC, Horwill, Genia, Beale. But Pocock was easily the best of the lot.

No chance Deans will drop Quade. It just won't happen. But with McCabe seemingly gone, hopefully Deans will be forced to put Barnes in at 12.

This side needs to learn to play for field position, Barnes cross the body kick to the 22 showed the way. It was what we were crying out for all match.
On the positive side, super defensive effort all round. It was a mammouth effort. As others have said Pocock was superb out there. He is a freak.
Full credit to O'Connor with the kick in the last ten. I had no confidence in him at all, but he came through.
Th lineout needs attention urgently. Traditionally the lineout has been a strength of Australian rugby, but today it was awful.

amazing effort by the aussies.
have to say mcabe is one brave man during the first half he looked gone about 5 times and just made amazing tackle after tackle.

Amazing win. The Boks absolutely DOMINATED that game after half time, once they got 9-8 I thought it was game over. Just couldn't see us scoring. Enter James O'Connor! You'd expect an international kicker to nail shots from that range, but given the time and context of the game, it was a huge kick.
Also I generally don't take much notice of the forwards, but even I could see Pocock played the game of the century tonight!! Immense.
And one final thing, the Fox Sports commentators are ridiculously biased (esp Kearns) and basically barrack, but given it's in favour of the Wallabies I quite enjoy it!
