Hi, Im a West Aussie swans supporter, I got see alot of Ryan in his days at the Claremont Colts, far and away one of the best young midfielders I have seen pass through the club, just wondering how he is travelling.

I know his size would limit his number of games for a couple of seasons, but how has he been travelling in the seconds?

Ta.

he injured his hand, broken scaffoid. Has had it pinned and missed last qual game and 2 finals in ressies.
Back on track and will be fit for pre season games and pushing for selection.

He looks to have quite good smarts, is lively and works reasonably hard during games.

But I think he has his work cut out to make it at AFL level. He just doesn't seem to have any attributes that really stand out. He's small, not overly quick and his disposal is just OK, rather than being good.

Hope I'm wrong but there look to be a fair few youngsters on the Swans' list who I think are more likely prospects than Brabazon.

He is a midfielder who spent nearly most of the year playing back pocket HBF. I think they were teaching him defensive skills. He is a ball magnet and has poise not to waste a disposal. Wait till he moves to midfield.

I don't think I've watched a single reserves game this year where he played back pocket (and I saw about half of the reserves games). If anything he seemed to be playing on a HFF most of the time.

i saw them all and yes he did have patches on the ball where he went forward but he entered the 50m on about 10 times all season. he was playing back for most times

I too know his dad, and played cricket with Ryan personally and footy with his brother. He's a great young kid, my mum taught him at school and absolutely loves him. If anything stops him from playing AFL it won't be his attitude.

Saw him in Albany holidaying last week. Was running and looked super fit.Said his hand recovering and should be ready for pre season.
