Not a lot to get excited about so far with these teams as they have just the one win each but in the context of the season, this is a huge game. A win here keeps them in touch with the top 8 but another loss and they can potentially fall well off the pace.

It is interesting to note that only the Wonders have any players in the top 35 disposal getters for the season so far – they have 5, the Royals none.

The Wonders also have two players in the Top 10 goalkickers with Croweater41 and JJSmitty8 – the leading Royals are Easty and okeydoke7 with 7 apiece. It’s worth noting though that last time they met, okey took home a bag of 8.

Additionally, the Wonders also have the leakiest defense, letting in 432 points so far, well ahead of the next worst – amazingly the second placed Dragons.

The Royals have been unlucky – their loss to the Warriors was a game they should have won and last week’s 3 point loss will still sting but when you are coming up against the reigning premiers who seem to have awoken from their Grand Final hangover, it makes it hard to pick them – even if they are at home.

That said, of the teams lower than 6th place, the Royals have the fewest points against, so maybe if the defense can stand up, the Gold City boys are a show. They are certainly due a change of luck.

I’m tipping the Royals to win by 2 goals in what should be a great game.

I'm going nautical when the Zombies come. Solar powered/fuel powered yacht will keep me well safe, mobile and with power. I originally wanted to clear out a cruise ship but then I remembered I've never even seen one so that's not practical at all.

I usually enjoy these match threads.

PVF will either bring his A-grame or his bored disillusioned token efforts.

ClarkeM will pop his head in and out but probably won't post more than a line or two.

ShaunDuggan will lead the washed up hacks making comebacks into battle.

Shallow will no doubt contribute his stock standard 5 quality posts.

And now the biggest bunch of flogs in the competition are forced to pull their heads out of their arses, because they aren't winning games anymore.

A team worse than us...A rarity but a pleasant one at that.
