The West Coast Wonders take on The Dragons at Dragon Island in what should be an exciting, enthralling, excellent and other words starting with "e" match. In terms of finals form (i.e. the only form that matters!) the Dragons did the league a massive favor by disposing of the Warriors in the most hilarious way possible, firstly by drawing, then by belting them to the tune of 14 goals. Let me repeat myself here, hilarious. Wonders on the other hand have had what one unnamed punter has called an easy draw, but they've disposed of the Bears and Royals... thus at least saving the SFA from a potential Grand Final of Royals vs Wolves. Feel free to heap your praises here.
It's worth mentioning that this will be the 4th time the Wonders and the Dragons have met in finals before, with the Wonders holding a 3-0 record. Thanks to Ljp86 for that fact, as lets face it, i wasn't going to do this in depth research.
I got in touch with the Wonders captain, Golumless, to ask his thoughts on this match:
"Yeah really good week of preparation, we're just planning to out work the Dragons and kick a winning score"
There goes a man that speaks in cliche's...
Hate declined to comment, mainly because i didn't ask him anything. If you are interested on his thoughts; I've heard ruors that he'll be appearing in a Sterge interview next week.
In terms of the match up, probably time we have a suss at the players that will make a difference for each side, and could be the match winner.
Dragons FC:
Danoz: The top bloke of the SFA, does stats, supports the Crows and a favorite for the Mobbs come the end of the season. If there is a more deserving bloke to win a final for his team, it's this guy... that said, should he, he won't be getting a Christmas card from me.
Spanna_: This individual has been sighted on the Qooty field before, so i guess you should probably watch him. I don't know why, he may pull a face or something.
roo2macca: Again has been sighted on a Qooty field before. Supports the crows so is probably good at qooty based on that.
West Coast Wonders:
SteeleBeams: Has been a revelation to the Wonders midfield since joining mid-season. Yet to lose a final too which is always a nice streak to have. Will fire, big time.
Kangaroos4eva: Another gem midfielder, who has been equal parts slick and one hard mother****er. Is pretty much Jack Ziebell, except good.
Golumless: Yeah, watch me bitches.
MrCricket1009: Another gun mid-season recruit, who has also never lost a final. Also been clutch as **** in the past couple of weeks.
In fact, whoever is on our teamsheet is must watch.
My Prediction: Wonders by 4 goals, and this possibly being one of the most bias write-ups for a preliminary final.
