VS
Season 22 Head2Head
Round 3: Fighting Furies 21.12 (138) defeated Dragons FFC 21.7 (133)
Round 14: Dragons FFC 25.9 (159) defeated Fighting Furies 15.12 (102)
Summary
Over the offseason the Furies brought back favourite sons Wacky Tiger and rfctigerarmy to fill the void of RodneyDangerfield’s departure while the Dragons’ captaincy changed hands with cammo6556 taking the mantle and bringing in Hatchy1992, Knifey Spoony and dennis crumpet hoping to take them one step further in S23.
The Furies will be full of confidence after dismantling the hapless Warriors by 90 points after a match thread that unbelievably spanned over 5000 posts. Rfctigerarmy gather 21 disposals and kicked 4 goals from the forward flank and Stiubhart rebounded off half back with ease. The Dragons on the other hand, are licking their wounds after a touch up at the hands of the Roys. Hate battled hard in the ruck but as a unit the Dragons midfield was well beaten by their Roy counterparts.
Players To Watch
Furies
Sterge kicked 5 goals in the first game of his stint at full forward. With Doctor Gero starting the season off with twice as many, Sterge will be looking to make up for lost ground as he searches for another medal to brag about in addition to his two EKA Medals.
Dragons
Ljp86 had little impact coming off the bench with a mere 1 handball so the veteran will be looking for more game time this week, ideally starting on the field as he looks to inspire his team to avoid a 0-2 start to the season.
Whose posts should you read if you are one of those weird people who like to read match threads that don’t involve you?
If last week was anything to go by, no one with an ounce of sanity will be reading a Furies thread if they don’t have to. But if you must, use the search function to find @hate’s posts, you might find a nice graphic in there somewhere.
