He doesn't like Jack at all, never has, even when he was at his best last year. But he does seem to like cloke, though I am so sick of the "put him in the ruck" bs. Trav wouldn't have a f'n clue how to play ruck, we were already getting smashed in the middle, as if putting trav there would have helped anything.
If you were going to get a forward to play ruck (not that you would when you have 2 specialist ruckmen in the side) surely it would be dawes. Speaking of dawes, that kid has to learn how to take a f'n mark over his head, or the side needs to learn how to kick low to him on a lead, something our side seems incapable of doing. Every kick goes high, so its either at their fingertips or over their heads.
Back to Walls, I really lost it with him when he said that jono brown mark (that was over the boundary line) was more of a mark than the collingwood one a minute later (I forget who the player was). Personally I thought neither of them were marks but you cant pay one and not the other.
All in all though, he wasn't too bad, I've certainly heard worse from him, it was really only those 2 instances that I noticed him. Maybe it's just because I've come to expect such horrible commentary from channel 10, that unless its really bad I don't notice it so much.
I so hope channel nine win the rights back. Channel 7 have the dumbass camera angles, delayed telecasts full of ads, and bruce (nuff said). Channel 10 have the worst commentary teams i've ever heard on either tv or radio, take 10 mins to line up a replay, and are obsessed with showing the coaches instead of the game.

I was so appalled I turned the sound down. Then I missed the atmosphere of the crowd etc. If they just gave you the option of having natural sound without commentary I'd be happy. Btw, Walls is a massive tool. Not in a good way, ladies, not in a good way.

The worst was when they showed the replay on the Maxwell free against, and then the Jono Brown one which was let go, side by side. Clearly you could see Cloke used his body and Brown used his hands to push, yet Walls' comment was 'They are pretty much the same thing"?!?!?!

I don't think Walls is obviously Anti-Collingwood in his commentary. I think he is a tad of a DTM of commentary though. His opinion will jump from week to week on almost every topic, but the few veiws he holds in regards to plans and players he will not budge from.
I remember watching 2 games he commentated over the period of a fortnight. In the first he was calling for the team to move the ball foward by any means neccasary and not move the ball sideways or backwards saying the for a foward the last thing you want is defenders to set up in front of you and that a long bomb to a 50/50 was always going to favour the team going foward. Within the space of a week he was rubbishing a teams ball movement for just bombing it in long, saying that it gave fowards no chance and that it would be much better to hold on to the ball and try and pin point a pass.

He was even worse in our win over the Swans last year at ANZ Stadium.
What is annoying is his silence when we get a dodgy decision, but harps on when the opposition get a dodgy one. It's embarrassing. It's scary that he's even worse when Essendon are involved.
P.S. Turned on 3AW after we belted the Blues and Tony Leonard was giving it to Walls and Lane because they hadn't spoken for 30 minutes. Great stuff Tony.

He is super diligent in highlighting (with great energy) any umpiring decisions where Collingwood may have been lucky, and unheard if Collingwood may be a bit hard done by. This highlights genuine bias, as generally only fans of one of the competing sides are so emotionally attached to umpiring decisions.
I have noticed it a lot with him, and had to have a lol when he was asked about the difference between the Maxwell 'push in the back' (bump in the side) and the Brown 'actual' push in the back... he wasn't quick to respond, and somehow despite all his prejudice managed to squeeze out 'well I would think if you pay one you'd pay the other'.
It almost killed him to say it. He wasn't going to be offering the comment, I wonder if his co-commentator was on to it so forced it on him? Of course, the true response would be the one that was paid shouldn't have been and the one that wasn't paid should have been, but what we got from him was as good as could be expected, though not volunteered

Please sack him - His biased commentary ruins games of footy on the TV... I end up waiting for his next biased comment instead of the game.

The Carlton presence in the Channel 10 commentary box is hideous. Lane, Walls, Maher....Walls is the worst clearly. Notice how he rarely makes his own observations but leeches off the other commentators and requires them to lead him in...eg. "Barry Hall exploded today didnt he Wallsy?"....he did Huddo....it is Tim,....you're right Stephen...I have never heard him say anything that wasnt the bleeding obvious or simply repeating exactly what someone else has said. Geriatric in every sense of the word. The only worse analyser in the game for me would have to be Grant Thomas, but thats a story for another time.

On One Week at a time last night Walls in the quick questions they ask Walls at the end of the night a question popped up about Collingwood and after Walls answered Steve Quartermain said "You really hate Collingwood don't you?" Everyone laughed including Walls (a little embarrassed he had been busted/ outed on TV) and he responded with "No... I don't hate Collingwood"... The very next question Walls was asked was "Who do you hate more, Collingwood or Essendon?" Walls needed to think for a while, and then responded "Essendon".
The fact these questions are actually being asked and answered on a footy show amazed me. How can any football broadcasting organization support a guy with such blantant hatred towards clubs. It evidently obvious and obviously undeniable when his fellow colleagues are cracking jokes and putting him on the spot about it on practically his own TV show.
His single mindedness, biased and hatred towards certain clubs and players became boring and obviously affected the credability of shows like On the couch, that he was no longer a part of the show - I would love to see whatever this thread is trying to achieve to push through with this idea and petition and attempt to stop this idiot ruining football broadcasting of games of all nature.

I am pretty sure it was Quartermain who asked him to comment on the difference between the Brown and Maxwell push in the backs
As I suspected, it may well have been deliberate, as if it had happened the other way around Walls would have just about ran on the ground and slugged the umpire.
