I think the point that everyone is missing is that in relation to us, its not banned. That is they couldn't possibly charge us with it and be successful. Yes, its banned, but asada ****ed up in passing that information to us

Not going to deny that our management and governance in 2011-2012 was absolutely pathetic and disgraceful for a professional football club, and it was foolish to run something very risky. However, what Essendon have done and what has been reported in the media what we have allegedly done are two different things.

He was also formerly on the AFL Victoria Anti-Doping board/commission/whatever it is.

He said without question he asked ASADA, early this year, about the status of AOD and they told him that it was not prohibited, was not dangerous, and was not performance enhancing. Just because he is an Essendon consultant doesn't mean he would blatantly lie about this. ASADA choose their words very carefully - they have only said they did not permit anyone to use it; they have never said they didn't tell anyone that it wasn't prohibited.

ASADA ****ed up and are trying to cover their ass. That's why they told the players back before their interviews that they would not persue the use AOD. There was a massive difference between WADA's stance on AOD and ASADA's stance on AOD at the time we used it.

No CEO of an organization when in term should have an employee take them to court (nor do they want them to take it to court, they try everything in their power to avoid court). Hird taking the AFL/AD to court is a massive black mark on AD' professional career. Make no mistake, AD will be fuming.

I wouldn't say I know more. I'm only relaying the information told to me from a source within the FD at our club, and the fact they have been spot on for most of this saga gives me confidence they are correct in what they are saying.

Not just that, but posts from Fogdog and Cerberus on Blitz have also been comforting, and a part of my confidence comes from them, seeing as they have also been spot on during this saga!
