I don't think he;s as bad as many think. HE hates Essendon, admits as much, But he's can back most points he makes up. At worst I'd say he's clouded a little but his dislike of Essendon, don't think he judges someone differently though just because they support Ess.

So I assume they are still negotiating with the AFL ?

Is there any conflict ( currently ) between the two actions.

Just on the Sarah interview this morning (sorry I know it's been done to death). The woman is obviously hysterical, but I'd question a lot of the things she said. It's extremely fishy the way she was talking about the club, and as others have suggested, sounds as though she's reflecting a lot of what the media has said.
At this point, what she's said can be taken only from the viewpoint that she is a worried mother, but without attending the meetings etc, I'd have to say she couldn't really be grasping the situation completely as others have.
Hoping the club can get her up to speed and quell the fears and stresses she has

There is no conflict that I am aware of. Also Hird has take SPECIFIC action against the AFL, this is separate to a defence of the charges. Essentially today's action was to try and stop the mud slinging, to get a fair hearing and to have that hearing delayed until after the finals.

I have good reason to believe that AFL are already strongly looking at dropping charges against Bomber and Reid. Unlikely Corcoran will avoid suspension however EFC hopefully he can be lumped into some kind of deal. AFL simply will not shift it's anti-Hird agenda at all.

The other parties did not need to seek the same action today as they are 'ready' to face charges if required. Also it has been clear that 'Hird' has become the focal point for the AFL PR machine.
