The pathetic Current Affairs war between the two networks demeans us all.

Channel 9 exposed Stan Grant's affair.

then

Channel 7 went after Newman for his Caroline Wilson joke last year

then

Channel 9 does story about Andrew O'Keefe getting on the piss.

then

Channel 7 does a story about Karl Stefanovic being drunk on air.

its all so idiotic.

LOL the Andrew O'Keefe front page headline story on C9 news a few months ago was 'gutter' journalism at it's worst ..

Sadly, we have to witness their inane attempts at journalism.

I propose setting up a Reality TV show in the Death Race or Running Man genre where these network hacks have to face off against one another.

The loser dies, the winner's career is dealt a terminal blow by having to appear on Bert's 20-to-1 as a 'guest celebrity'.

Tom Petrowski from Comsec's finance report fame could compare. He's like a cybernetic life-form anyway, so he'd be perfect.

Does anyone remember when Mike Willesee was on A Current Affair pi55ed and basically cocking up his dialogue.
I remember watching Hinch the next day and his opening salvo was "hello I'm Derryn Hinch and i'm sober" At the end of the show before he said thats life "I'm Derryn Hinch and I am sober'
I thought it funny then because it was the first I remember of hostility, but now the networks are constantly at each others throats.

WRONG!!

SBS or One HD. Unless you're in a house of dullards who must have their "insert commercial network" on between 6 & 7:30, you've got a remote and you're choosing to rot your brain with the crap.

As for Newman - it's just sad he lowers himself to the lowest common denominator for a bit of adulation, as he's extremely smart, and holds in contempt most of the bogans who hero worhsip him. The poor guy's bored off his brain but when a network is paying absurd figures to play a git, a git you will play. Stokes would be all over him like a rash if he got tired of Nine, and would be a great addition to their commentary team (interesting dynamic with Buckley and Dennis C).

In this context 'witness' meaning merely being on air.
Who in their right minds would watch that crap?

reload = "sadly, these inane attempts at journalism are broadcast at all".

I've rarely seen the shows in questions, just seeing the promos is enough.
But thanks for your concern all the same. And I'll be sure to check out this SBS mob too.
