It's finally all clicked for Sam. He has always been an accurate shot at goal, but now he is a more complete footballer. He has a tank, he applies defensive pressure and will lay tackles. We have invested a lot of time in Sam, and it's been a tough road for him. He has put in the hard work, and done what was asked of him while toiling away in the magoos. Now he is a genuine best 23. I am hopeful he can re-sign on a multi-year contract.

Doesn't he have an automatic extension clause in his contract or something? At least, I remember something like that happening last year.

Sturt is no good and other clubs should not be considering him. He has massive off field issues and once took candy from a baby. Steer clear and don't fall into this trap.

Not really. Guy wants to get his form up before he signs. Signing a contract mid year when you plugging away in the WAFL would have been silly. Think he probably added 200k per year to his next deal over the last 2 months.

Id consider him say a poor mans Bayley Fritsch but quite a few teams are around wanting that. Hawthorn for example would see Sturt as the heir apparent to Luke Breust for example. Essendon too as a replacement for Jake Stringer, Collingwood would see him as a addition or want as a leading deeper forward which they dont have

Wouldnt have expected to sign him earlier but he's been best 22 for a while. Definitely want an announcement some time soon
