I watched a few snaps this morning. Nothing too much to report.
Dobbs and Allen are both decent backups.
I'd really prefer that they keep Purdy out if we're not playing the starters. He doesn't need the snaps and all that can happen is he gets clobbered for no reason.
Tanner Mordecai (such a cool name) was the highlight. Looked great for the late game snaps.
Really thin at OT and TE, so a little surprised with some of the cuts, unless the fancy signing other cut talent or some of ours getting through to the practice squad.
I'm not list management expert, but still a few puzzling choicrs
49ers place RB Mitchell on IR, out for season. Not sure what the point of putting him on IR do over cutting him, seeing he's expected to leave next year
After returning to practice last week following a hamstring injury, 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell's comeback hit a significant roadblock on Tuesday.
Wouldn't be shocked if we have a slow start to the season. Much of the key offence pieces have missed big chunks of preseason. So i feel is up to the D to set the tone for us.
I think we'll be at the pointy end of we keep key personal healthy.
Superbowls the past 20 years have been really hard to come by, unless you're the Pats or the Chiefs. We've got a window now, but the rest of the NFC West will close the gap in coming years.
My big thing is being relevant in the playoffs as a sign of a good year. If you're playing NFC championships on a regular basis you're getting a lot out of the year. I desperately want a Superbowl, but still have enjoyed our performance the past 5 years.
