Got what they deserved. Bunch of shit trucks in key moments. Awful redzone defence. Huge chunk plays down field. Of course we miss the 55ys fg. Huge pint return.

Ronnie Bell dropping 2 catches he shouldn't
The one late in the game would have almost won it for us
The Bell drop was abysmal. It was in the perfect position and he just had lead hands. Shouldn’t play again, he’s not getting any better.
That was the worst error, but there were many others in the last quarter. Purdy not throwing to a wide open Aiyuk was particularly nauseating.
And once again, Shanahan too clever for his own good. Should have been running Mason down the throats of an undersized defense.

Special teams out did themselves too.
On 3 separate occasions they single handlely gave momentum to the Rams...fake punt, missed FG and a big return.
Add the blocked punt last week.
How the ST coach survives every year is beyond me. When's the last time they did something spectacular on STs?
Oh and regarding the defense, Greenlaw can't get back quick enough. **** off Flanagan-Fowles play Winters and get Campbell off the field on passing downs.
Play the rookies Shanahan!

To clarify, my doom and gloom perspective is not based on the injuries but more that the low vibes of the offseason have carried into the season.
49ers continue to lose all of the pivotal moments in games and this seems to be a common theme under the Shanahan reign. We've seem it in SuperBowls before and great teams always seem to win more than their fair share of these moments.

Kyle is just a too cute play caller to win it all. Plus defense has taken major steps back can't stop anyone atm.

Getting burnt down field takes me back to the 2019 season. Its happened more in the past 2 weeks than all of last season. Its not even on good plays its chuck it up and our guys are getting killed.
The redzone D was a place we had been able to bottle up teams and keep them to 3 has gone missing.
We'll see if the team has any character the next few weeks.

Good news keeps on rolling in
A bit of a get right game today. Other than the usual special teams cluster****, offence and defence were solid. Still a lot of work to be done on the o line - looked like peak iowa state Purdy scrambling outside of the pocket to keep plaus alive. A few less flags would be great too

He's been great behind a bang average o line (that's a kind assessment).
The escaping the pocket stuff on the weekend was like watching us play against Kyler Murray.
