Mark Blake = shit truck.
But thats the thing they hardly ever play like that. When they are not expected to win, they pull out performances like that, yet when they are expected to win (e.g. the richmond game) they fall to pieces.

10 or 11 clearances to add to that. I know it was 10, but that was a few minutes before the end, probably added another 1 or 2. Was an amazing performance, felt for the bloke sincerely.
Sandilands played well but you must remember that he was up against ruck bags. With Ottens out whoever Geelong pair up with Blake make up the worst ruck combo going around. Jolly smashed them last week and Sandilands caned them tonight.

Holy shit, 20 of his 25 possessions were contested! 4 contested marks and 10 clearances as well. One of the great individual performances this year I reckon.

Tonight he was. Can't dispute Sandlands was bloody inspirational but need to consider Blake threw in the towel and refused to bother trying pretty early. Was ####ing disgraceful form. Does not matter how good your opponent is you have to try. I think Mumford battled harder or at least made Sandlands earn his taps and disposals.
Not in much of a position to comment really. Essendon's ruckmen managed to make Blake and West look outstanding earlier this year.

I always knew that this was going to be a bit of a worry for us. Blakey is very much a confidence player and when Sandy was tearing him a new one early, I knew it would stay that way. Can't blame Mumford too much - he's a first gamer coming up against an absolute giant of a bloke.
