I too worked in a supermarket in my younger days. I ran a nighfill crew. Chep pallets weigh 50kg+ and I would stack them into lots 13 high, 4 or 5 stacks per night. It was all done by me by hand with no mechanical aids.

This was pre OH&S in the 80s when I was an 80kg teenager.

The Ausralian ones are rated to 2500kg, not the 1500kg ones you've offered up.
